Be patient, I understand your pain – Tinubu begs Nigerian

President Bola Tinubu has urged Nigerian youth to exhibit patience and empathy concerning the difficulties arising from the economic policies implemented during his administration.

 

He clarified that these current challenges would eventually dissipate, leading to the emergence of a fairer, more prosperous, and all-encompassing economy.

 

On Thursday, during a meeting with the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Youth Leaders representing the 36 States and Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, the President made a firm commitment.

He assured the nation that his administration would make any necessary decisions to promote the prosperity and unity of the country, even if they prove to be challenging.

 

Addressing the attendees, the President acknowledged the slow pace of economic reforms and empathized with the difficulties citizens are facing.

 

He specifically mentioned the arduous task of dealing with the longstanding issue of fuel subsidy, which has plagued the country for over four decades.

Report indicates that since the removal of fuel subsidy two months ago, Nigerians have experienced increased hardships.

 

The cost of essential commodities, goods, services, and transportation has risen as a consequence of this policy change.
