Bishop Allan Kiuna, Jubilee Christian Church’s senior pastor and cofounder in Nairobi, is dead. He died in a Nairobi hospital where he had been admitted after his condition worsened on Tuesday, a family spokesperson confirmed.
Following news of his death, friends and family have been at his Runda home where they have been eulogizing the departed influential pastor.
Bishop Kiuna had been battling cancer of the blood cells, multiple myeloma, since his diagnosis in 2018/2019. Multiple myeloma is one of the cancers where abnormal plasma cells multiply and accumulate in the bone marrow, forming tumors in bones of the body.

The late was the husband to Bishop Kathy Kiuna of JCC and largely popular for his devotion and inspiring leadership. Back in 2019, he had shared with members of the public his struggle with cancer and appreciated God for the strength to bear the hard journey.
Jubilee Christian Church was birthed in January 1999 when Bishop Kiuna and his wife, Rev. Kathy, were concerned about establishing a relevant faith community. His legacy will live on through the lives that he touched and the church he built.
President William Ruto has joined the nation in mourning the demise of Bishop Allan Kiuna. In his message, Wednesday, Ruto said that Kiuna was a “dedicated Christian leader” who inspired many into living and believing in the teachings of the Lord.
To his wife, Rev. Kathy Kiuna and family, we stand with you in this moment of sadness and bereavement praying that you be enabled to have the strength to overcome this testing moment,” said Ruto. “May he rest in peace.”
The late Bishop Allan Kiuna had left a wide vacuum among the Christian fraternity, as many people were in sorrow over losing a selfless leader whose legacy would be felt for generations to come.
