The Nigerian Air Force serves as the aerial warfare branch of the Nigerian Armed Forces and stands as one of the largest air services on the African continent. Position 1: Nigerian Air Force Recruitment 2026 for Tradesman / Woman
Job Title: Tradesman / Woman

Eligibility Requirements
Candidates applying for the Tradesman / Woman position must satisfy the following criteria:
- Citizenship: Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth.
- Physical Height: Applicants must not be less than 1.66 meters tall for males and not less than 1.63 meters tall for females.
- Fitness Standards: Applicants must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit, and they must fully meet the established Nigerian Air Force medical and employment standards.
- ND / NCE Academic Qualifications: Applicants possessing a National Diploma (ND) or National Certificate in Education (NCE) must have obtained at least a lower credit from accredited institutions. Furthermore, candidates must possess a minimum of 5 credits, including Mathematics and English, obtained in not more than 2 sittings across WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB, or NBAIS examinations.
- Trade Test and Driver Requirements: Applicants applying as drivers and for other trades that require a Trade Test must possess a minimum of 5 credits, including Mathematics and English, in not more than 2 sittings in WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB/NBAIS (also formatted as WAECNECO/GCE/NABTEB/NBAIS), in addition to possessing their Trade Test certificate and a valid driving licence for drivers.in.
- Sportsmen and Sportswomen Requirements: In addition to meeting the 5 credits requirement in SSCE, applicants applying as sportsmen or sportswomen are required to present documentary evidence of their professional sporting experience, which must include relevant certificates and medals.

- Local Government Area Attestation Form
The Local Government Area Attestation Form is to be signed only by one of the following designated authorities:
- A Military officer from the same State as the applicant and not below the rank of Wing Commander in the Nigerian Air Force or the equivalent ranks in the Nigerian Army and Nigerian Navy.
- A Police officer of the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police and above.
- Substantive Local Government Chairmen or Local Government Secretaries.
- Magistrates originating from the applicant’s state of origin.
The Local Government Area Attestation Form must be accompanied by a passport photograph and a photocopy of the signee’s Driver’s Licence, National ID Card, or International Passport.

- Age Limit: Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 22 years by 1 March 2027.
- Academic Requirements: Applicants must possess a minimum of 5 credits, including Mathematics and English Language, obtained in not more than 2 sittings in WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB, or NBAIS.
- Additional Certification: In addition, applicants are required to possess Primary School Certificates and Secondary School Testimonials.
- Legal Status: Applicants must be free of any previous conviction(s) on criminal grounds by a court of law.
