Nigeria Police Force Condemns Extortion, Vows to Curb the Practice
The spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has expressed his dismay over the continued reports of police officers demanding bribes, often in small amounts like N100, from motorists across the country.
He characterized this behavior as embarrassing and unacceptable, emphasizing that it tarnishes the reputation of the police force.
In response to a query from an X user regarding why such practices persist, Adejobi unequivocally denounced the act, attributing it to outright corruption.
