EFCC arraigns professor, Uche Chigozie for alleged N1.4bn fraud
Professor Uche Chigozie Edwin has been charged with N1.4 billion in alleged fraud by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at the Federal High Court in Lagos.
Edwin was indicted along with two of his companies.

Thursday’s statement on the commission’s official Twitter account revealed this information.
According to the statement, Edwin was arraigned on 11 counts related to conspiracy, retention, and conversion of funds.
The statement reads as follows: “On March 16, 2023, the Lagos Zonal Command of the EFCC charged Prof. Uche Chigozie Edwin with an alleged N1.4 billion fraud before Justice Nicholas Oweibo of the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos.
Edwin was indicted along with his three companies, Visionary Integrated Consulting Limited, NEMAD Associates Limited, and Revamp Global Enterprise, on 11 counts of conspiracy, retention, and conversion of funds totaling N1,473,367,046.04.
