Switzerland 2-0 Algeria
Switzerland secured a historic victory at BC Place in Vancouver. Breel Embolo opened the scoring in the 10th minute. He finished from close range. Dan Ndoye doubled the lead just 46 seconds after halftime.
This marks Switzerland’s first World Cup knockout win since 1938. They will face either Colombia or Ghana in the Round of 16.
England 2-1 DR Congo
England survived a major scare to advance. DR Congo took the lead and threatened an upset. But Harry Kane rescued the Three Lions with two late goals.
The comeback victory sends England through to the next round.
USA 2-0 Bosnia and Herzegovina
The United States advanced despite playing most of the second half with 10 men. Folarin Balogun scored in the 45th minute to give the USA the lead.
He was sent off in the 64th minute after a VAR review. The decision reduced the hosts to 10 men. But Malik Tillman sealed the victory with a free-kick in the 82nd minute.
This was the USA’s first World Cup knockout win over a European opponent.

Australia vs Egypt
The match will be played at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. It kicks off at 7:00 PM Nigerian time.

This is the first-ever World Cup meeting between Colombia and Ghana. The winner will face Switzerland in the Round of 16.
