According to him, the election previously scheduled for Saturday, February 25, 2023, in the senatorial district has been moved to Saturday, March 11, 2023.

Yakubu stated that the postponement in the district comprising four local government areas was necessitated by the assassination of Oyibo Chukwu, the Labour Party’s Senatorial candidate for the Enugu East district.
