Governor of Taraba State, Darius Ishaku, has lost his bid to represent Taraba South in the National Assembly.
Ishaku is the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the district.

According to information gathered by this online newspaper, the APC candidate received 85,415 votes to defeat the governor, who received 45,508 votes.
