Senator representing Anambra South and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, is dead. SaharaReporters learnt that Ubah died in a hotel in London. He traveled to the United Kingdom just two days before his death.
The information about his death was passed in a senators’ WhatsApp group, where colleagues started posting tributes as reflections of Ubah’s contributions and the vacuum his death has created in the political landscape.
The late Senator Ubah had, in the days before his death, kept busy with activities identifying him as an APC stalwart. Days before the fatal attack, his campaign council donated N71 million to the APC State Chapter in Anambra State.

The donation, which involved his personal contribution of N50 million, was made in a bid to increase the party’s visibility and effectiveness in the State.
Although fellow senators have paid glowing tributes to him, the Senate is yet to make any official statement on the incident. Ubah’s death came as a huge loss to the All Progressives Congress and the entire political class in Nigeria.
