Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has extended warm congratulations to HRM Okporua I, the Ovie of Udu Kingdom, on the first anniversary of his coronation and ascension to the throne of his forefathers.
Ejes Gist News reports that the Governor’s message of felicitation was contained in a statement issued on Saturday in Asaba by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon.
Governor Oborevwori described the monarch’s first year on the throne as both impactful and remarkable, noting that his reign has been characterized by wisdom, peace, unity, and purposeful leadership within Udu Kingdom.

He praised the traditional ruler for fostering harmony among his subjects and for his close collaboration with the government and other stakeholders to advance development and stability in the kingdom.
According to Ejes Gist News, the Governor noted that the monarch’s commitment to preserving the rich cultural heritage and traditions of Udu Kingdom, while embracing progressive initiatives, has earned him deep respect and admiration from his people and beyond.
“On behalf of the government and people of Delta State, I warmly congratulate His Royal Majesty, Okporua I, Ovie of Udu Kingdom, on this joyous occasion of the first anniversary of his coronation,” the Governor said.
“Your Majesty’s reign over the past year has brought renewed hope, unity, and progress to the people of Udu Kingdom. Your dedication to peace, development, and the welfare of your subjects is highly commendable and worthy of emulation.”
Ejes Gist News further reports that Governor Oborevwori prayed for God’s continued guidance, good health, wisdom, and strength for the monarch as he continues to provide purposeful leadership for the people of Udu Kingdom.
The Governor expressed confidence that under the monarch’s stewardship, the kingdom would witness even greater peace, prosperity, and socio-economic development.
He wished His Royal Majesty, Okporua I, many more fruitful years on the throne and a reign marked by lasting achievements and blessings for the people of Udu Kingdom.
