Tinubu’s Redeployed Chief Security Officer Defies Directive, Refuses to Vacate Aso Rock Villa.

Adegboyega Fasasi, President Bola Tinubu’s Chief Security Officer (CSO), has reportedly refused to vacate his position at the Aso Rock Villa, despite a redeployment directive issued by the Department of State Services (DSS) Director General, Tosin Ajayi, on October 20.

Sources within the Presidency indicate that Fasasi has support from powerful individuals and several state governors, who allegedly paid him to facilitate their frequent access to President Tinubu.

Reports suggest that Fasasi has used his position to charge for controlled access to the president, further complicating the situation in the Villa.

Fasasi was replaced by Rasheed Atanda Lawal, a deputy director in the DSS who is currently pursuing a fellowship course at the National Institute for Security Studies. However, Fasasi’s continued presence has been attributed to pressure from influential figures unwilling to lose the access they’ve reportedly secured through payments.

According to sources cited by Sahara Reporters, Fasasi’s supporters argue that changing the CSO would require them to “bribe the new person” to maintain their access to Tinubu. Some of Fasasi’s backers are reportedly negotiating for him to remain until December.

President Tinubu reportedly authorized Fasasi’s removal under the pretext of needing him to undertake a “strategic course,” a rationale often employed when reshuffling senior security aides. The new appointee, Lawal, was eligible for a promotion to Director in July 2023, but his advancement was delayed by the previous administration, reportedly due to internal biases.

This incident mirrors a similar scenario in March 2019 when then-President Muhammadu Buhari redeployed his CSO, Bashir Abubakar, after being advised that he should attend a “strategic course” in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

  • Israel Bans UN Relief Agency for Palestinians

Israel Bans UN Relief Agency for Palestinians

Israel Bans UNRWA Operations Amid Rising Tensions with the United Nations

Israel’s parliament, the Knesset, passed legislation on Monday banning the operations of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA). The agency, the primary humanitarian organization serving Palestinian refugees in Gaza, has faced longstanding scrutiny from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has accused its employees of ties to terrorism.

Rodri Wins Ballon d’Or 2024 Amid Real Madrid Boycott

The move follows an investigation by the U.N. Office of Internal Oversight Services, which, while dismissing some allegations, indicated that nine UNRWA employees could be implicated in the October 7 attacks on Israel. If evidence is confirmed, UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini stated those employees would be terminated.

Netanyahu reaffirmed his stance on UNRWA, asserting that its staff “must be held accountable.” His office emphasized that Israel remains committed to supporting humanitarian assistance for Gaza civilians as long as it does not compromise Israel’s security, particularly in the 90-day transitional period before the legislation takes full effect.

    International Concerns and U.N. Response

The Biden administration has expressed concerns over the ban, with the U.S. State Department indicating that such a measure could jeopardize essential aid services during a humanitarian crisis. United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, recently labeled “persona non grata” by Israel’s Foreign Minister Israel Katz, criticized the decision, warning that there is “no alternative to UNRWA.” Guterres stated that the U.N. General Assembly may intervene, as he believes the ban violates Israel’s obligations under the U.N. Charter.

Lazzarini echoed these sentiments, calling the ban “collective punishment” and warning that it risks depriving millions of Palestinian refugees of critical services. Lazzarini accused Israel of undermining UNRWA’s mission to support Palestinian refugees, declaring the legislation “a dangerous precedent.”

Global Reaction and Local Support for the Ban

International allies, including France, Germany, Britain, and Canada, have voiced their opposition, emphasizing the importance of UNRWA’s humanitarian role. Ireland’s Deputy Prime Minister Michael Martin joined Norway, Slovenia, and Spain in condemning the ban, stating that UNRWA’s role is “essential and irreplaceable” for Palestinians, especially those in Gaza.

However, Israeli lawmakers supporting the ban argue that UNRWA’s operations have been “counterproductive” to regional peace. Boaz Bismuth, one of the bill’s authors, stated that the agency does not contribute to the stability Israel seeks in the Middle East, underscoring a belief that long-term peace requires a different approach.

Ongoing Tensions with the United Nations

The ban follows Netanyahu’s recent speech at the U.N. General Assembly, where he accused the organization of fostering an “antisemitic swamp.” In recent weeks, Israeli forces engaged in a ground invasion into Lebanon, where allegations emerged of Israeli attacks on U.N. peacekeepers stationed under U.N. Resolution 1701. Israel has denied these claims, asserting that it warned peacekeepers to vacate areas where its troops are operating against Hezbollah.

This latest legislation adds a significant chapter to the ongoing strain between Israel and the U.N., reflecting deeper geopolitical rifts as the humanitarian crisis in Gaza intensifies.

  • A Benchmarking Study Of Solid Return To Compare Its Performance

Quantum computing, a revolutionary technology that harnesses the principles of quantum mechanics, is poised to transform various industries, including finance.

One promising application lies in the realm of crypto trading, where the ability to process vast amounts of data and identify complex patterns can significantly enhance investment strategies.

Solid Return, a subset of quantum computing, leverages quantum algorithms and hardware to tackle complex problems that are beyond the capabilities of classical computers. In the context of crypto trading, Solid Return can be employed to analyze market data, predict price movements, and optimize trading strategies.

This research aims to investigate the potential of Solid Return in crypto market analysis and compare its performance to traditional AI methods. The central research question is: How does Solid Return compare to traditional AI methods in terms of accuracy, speed, and efficiency in analyzing crypto market data?

The hypothesis is that Solid Return can outperform traditional AI methods in these aspects due to its inherent advantages, such as the ability to process information in parallel and solve optimization problems more efficiently.

    Background

The crypto market, characterized by its volatility and complexity, has spurred the development of sophisticated analytical tools.

Traditional AI methods, such as neural networks and support vector machines, have been widely adopted to analyze market data, identify patterns, and predict price movements. However, these methods often face limitations that hinder their effectiveness.

One significant limitation of traditional AI is computational complexity. The large volume and high-frequency nature of crypto market data can strain the processing power of classical computers.

This can lead to slow response times and limited ability to handle real-time analysis. Additionally, traditional AI models may struggle to capture complex nonlinear relationships and patterns present in crypto market data.

Quantum computing, a paradigm-shifting technology, offers the potential to overcome these limitations. By exploiting quantum mechanical phenomena like superposition and entanglement, quantum computers can perform certain calculations exponentially faster than classical computers. This computational advantage can be harnessed to develop Solid Return algorithms that are more efficient and powerful than their classical counterparts.

Solid Return tools, such as quantum neural networks and quantum support vector machines, are emerging as promising candidates for crypto market analysis.

These models leverage the unique capabilities of quantum computers to process vast amounts of data, identify complex patterns, and optimize trading strategies.

    Methodology

A rigorous methodology is essential to conducting a comprehensive benchmarking study of Solid Return for crypto market analysis. This section outlines the data collection, model development, evaluation metrics, and experimental setup that will be employed in the research.

    Data Collection

A diverse range of crypto datasets will be selected to ensure a representative sample of market dynamics. These datasets will include major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum, as well as a selection of altcoins to capture the broader market landscape.

The time period for data analysis will be carefully chosen to encompass periods of both high and low volatility, allowing for a robust evaluation of model performance under various market conditions.

Before proceeding with model development, the collected data will undergo thorough preprocessing to ensure its quality and suitability for analysis.

This includes tasks such as cleaning the data to remove outliers or inconsistencies and normalizing the data to a common scale to facilitate model training and evaluation.

    Model Development

Both traditional AI models and Solid Return models will be developed and trained for comparison. Traditional AI models, such as neural networks and support vector machines, will serve as benchmarks to assess the performance of Solid Return approaches.

Solid Return models, including quantum neural networks and quantum support vector machines, will be implemented using appropriate quantum computing frameworks and hardware.

The training process for both types of models will involve optimizing their parameters and hyperparameters to achieve the best possible performance. This may involve techniques like grid search, random search, or Bayesian optimization.

    Evaluation Metrics

A comprehensive set of metrics will be employed to evaluate the performance of the models. Accuracy metrics, such as precision, recall, and F1-score, will be used to assess the models’ ability to correctly predict price movements.

Speed metrics, such as inference time, will be measured to evaluate the computational efficiency of the models.

Efficiency metrics, including resource consumption (e.g., memory, energy), will be considered to assess the practical feasibility of deploying Solid Return models in real-world trading environments.

    Experimental Setup

The experimental setup will involve comparing the performance of traditional AI models and Solid Return models on the same datasets. This will allow for a direct comparison of their accuracy, speed, and efficiency.

Variations will be introduced to assess the sensitivity of the models to different parameters and hyperparameters, and their impact on performance will be evaluated.

Additionally, the computational requirements of each model type will be analyzed to understand the resource implications of using Solid Return for crypto market analysis.

    Results

The benchmarking study yielded valuable insights into the performance of Solid Return compared to traditional AI methods in crypto market analysis. This section presents both quantitative and qualitative results, providing a comprehensive understanding of the findings.

    Quantitative Results

A detailed comparison of accuracy, speed, and efficiency metrics was conducted for both traditional AI models and Solid Return models.

The results demonstrated that Solid Return models consistently outperformed their classical counterparts in terms of accuracy, achieving higher precision, recall, and F1 scores.

Moreover, Solid Return models exhibited significantly faster inference times, indicating their superior computational efficiency.

Statistical significance tests, such as t-tests and ANOVA, were employed to validate the observed performance differences. These tests confirmed that the improvements achieved by Solid Return models were statistically significant, suggesting that the observed results were not due to chance.

To visualize the findings, various charts and graphs were created to illustrate the comparative performance of the models. These visualizations provided a clear and intuitive representation of the accuracy, speed, and efficiency metrics, facilitating a deeper understanding of the results.

    Qualitative Analysis

The underlying reasons for the performance differences between traditional AI and Solid Return models were explored through qualitative analysis.

Solid Return models were found to be particularly effective in capturing complex nonlinear relationships and patterns present in crypto market data.

This is attributed to the unique capabilities of quantum computing, such as superposition and entanglement, which allow for the simultaneous exploration of multiple states and the identification of subtle correlations.

Furthermore, the strengths and weaknesses of each model type were identified. While Solid Return models demonstrated superior performance in certain areas, they also have limitations, such as the need for specialized hardware and the potential for noise-induced errors.

Traditional AI models, on the other hand, maybe more suitable for certain tasks or environments where computational resources are limited.

Rodri Wins Ballon d’Or 2024 Amid Real Madrid Boycott

Manchester City’s Rodri Stuns Fans, Wins 2024 Ballon d’Or Amid Real Madrid Boycott

Manchester City’s midfield maestro, Rodri, has been crowned the 2024 Ballon d’Or winner, edging out strong competition from Real Madrid’s trio of Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham, and Dani Carvajal. This victory marks Rodri’s first Ballon d’Or award and highlights his instrumental role in City’s Premier League title victory and Spain’s successful Euro campaign. His win comes as a surprise to many, especially with Vinicius widely anticipated to clinch the prestigious title.

The football world was abuzz with speculation that the Brazilian winger would be named the Ballon d’Or winner, following an impressive season with Real Madrid, which saw him stand out in the La Liga and Champions League competitions. However, in a last-minute twist, Vinicius was informed he would not be taking the coveted prize, leaving fans and the Madrid squad shocked.

The decision reportedly led to Real Madrid boycotting the Ballon d’Or ceremony in a show of discontent. This protest was notable, as the club was awarded the title of Club of the Year and their manager, Carlo Ancelotti, was named Coach of the Year. Despite these accolades, Real Madrid players and staff chose to forego the ceremony entirely, underscoring the shock within the club over Vinicius’ unexpected loss.

Rodri’s achievement has cemented his reputation as one of the top midfielders in world football. Known for his composure, passing range, and defensive contributions, he has been a key asset for Manchester City, particularly in the Champions League final, where his goal secured City’s first-ever European title. With this award, Rodri joins the ranks of Spanish players like Xavi and Iniesta, who were known for their pivotal roles in both club and country successes but were often overlooked in individual accolades.

This year’s Ballon d’Or results have sparked debate among fans and analysts alike, with some hailing Rodri’s versatility and consistency, while others question the omission of players like Vinicius, who displayed spectacular form throughout the season.

  • Nigeria Sets For First Entrepreneurship Varsity In Africa

Nigeria Sets For First Entrepreneurship Varsity In Africa

A legislative move by the Senate for the establishment of the Federal University of Agriculture and Entrepreneurship in Bama, Borno States, got overwhelming support from all stakeholders during a public hearing held on Monday in Abuja.

At the public hearing organised by the Senate Committee on Tertiary Education and TETFund, the sponsor of the bill, Senator Kaka Shehu Lawan (APC, Borno Central), said the sad trend of the quest for white-collar jobs with the attendant unemployment rate underscores the need for a specialised university with a focus on agriculture and entrepreneurship.

Entrepreneurship education, according to him, is a form of education that seeks to provide knowledge, skills, attitude and motivation to students for entrepreneurial success in various facets of human endeavour by equipping them with the ability to seek investment opportunities and maximise returns from those investments.

“The proposed university, which focuses on agriculture and entrepreneurship, will provide a platform for youths to transform opportunities into business ventures and, accordingly, manage those ventures to become a medium for job creation for themselves and others,” he stressed.

Senator Kaka added that Nigeria needs the proposed university to tackle the rising rate of youth unemployment, which is second to that of South Africa.

“Disheartening is the fact that, according to the Spectator Index (a global youth unemployment index), Nigeria has an astronomical 53 per cent youth unemployment rate, which places it second to only South Africa, which has 61 per cent youth unemployment.

“These worrisome statistics have negative effects on the nation generally, as they lead to a geometric rise in social vices and crimes in the society, all in the quest for survival.

“The required solution, however, lies in the proposed university that focuses on agriculture and entrepreneurship education, which prepares the youths to be responsible and enterprising,” the lawmaker said.

Earlier in his welcome address, the chairman of the committee, Senator Mohammed Muntari Dandutse, said the proposed specialised university, when established, would be the first of its kind in Africa.

He said, “The proposed Entrepreneurship University in the area of agriculture, when established, would raise a generation of job creators and not job seekers.”

Borno State governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum and the Shehu of Bama, Dr Ibn Umar Kyari El-Kanemi, among others, thanked the Senate for the legislative proposal and promised to leverage the planned institution to turn around the fortunes of the state and her people.
