Results of the Cognitive/Placement Exams for Primary 6 has been Released .

The Delta State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education has announced the release of the results for the 2023 Cognitive/Placement Examination conducted on May 20.

According to a statement by Mr. Augustine Oghoro, the Permanent Secretary of the State Ministry, Chief Inspectors of Education (CIEs) from the 25 Local Government Areas have been instructed to collect scratch cards from the Department of Examinations and Standards on Monday, July 3, 2023. These scratch cards will enable the candidates to check their results.

The statement highlighted that a total of 115,505 candidates registered for the examination, out of which 114,245 actually took the test. It further mentioned that 109,719 candidates, constituting 96%, successfully passed the Cognitive/Placement examination, while 4,526 candidates, representing 4%, did not meet the required criteria.

Candidates were advised to carefully follow the instructions provided on the scratch card in order to access their results. Additionally, Mr. Oghoro stated in the announcement that those who passed the examination would be placed in JS 1 (Junior Secondary 1) for the upcoming 2023/2024 Academic Session, which is scheduled to commence on September 11, 2023.

Naval Officer Beaten to Death by Mob in Southwest

According to the members, representing the different Arewa states, the idea behind the formation of the ACF is, among others, to promote the development, unity, peace, and prosperity of the Arewa North as an entity while having a healthy relationship with other areas of the country.

In a statement on Tuesday, titled “Stop Using ACF For Your Political Fights in Kogi State”, jointly signed by
Dr. Asha Manga, who was the Governorship Candidate for Action Alliance in the just concluded elections; and Alhaji Sadiq Bulama, member, Borno State, and Secretary to the immediate past chairman of ACF, among others, the Arewa leaders said the ACF was never meant to be a divisive political tool in the hands of an individual or a few to use for their local political fights.
