The Peoples Democratic Party Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has been urged to withdraw his case against the victory of President Bola Tinubu.

In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Abuja, Chief Yohanna Margif, the 2023 Labour Party (LP) governorship aspirant in Plateau, has made a call.

The call was made by a prominent member of the APC, who urged the opposition party’s Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi, to follow suit and withdraw his challenge of Tinubu’s victory in the tribunal.

According to the LP stalwart, the decision to call on Obi and Abubakar was made with the aim of promoting national unity and integration.

In just four weeks since taking office, the new leadership of Nigeria led by President Bola Tinubu has demonstrated a remarkable ability to govern and enhance the country’s prospects without any bias or hesitation. This has become evident and apparent, as the leadership has already made significant strides in improving the nation’s state.

Amidst the recent events in Nigeria, including insecurity, unemployment, and religious intolerance, there is a pressing need to initiate a project focused on national unity and integration.

According to the speaker, the transition of power to Tinubu will alleviate the challenges and grievances caused by the previous administration, and ultimately lead Nigeria towards a better future.

Margif commended Abubakar and Obi for choosing to pursue their election dispute through the legal channels of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT), rather than resorting to unlawful methods.

As per his statement, the aforementioned aligns with the principles of democracy, sportsmanship, patriotism, national unity, and integration.

The aftermath of the electioneering campaigns has left a trail of uncertainty at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT). At the heart of the matter are the challenges brought forth by Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, who are contesting the results of the election that saw Tinubu emerge as the winner.

In a display of democratic values, the speaker acknowledged the right of all individuals to express their opinions. However, the focus was on commending the presidential candidates from various political parties for their peaceful conduct during the elections.

In addition, the pursuit of legal recourse in the face of conflict is a hallmark of sportsmanship, according to the individual.

In a recent statement, the speaker urged both Obi and Abubakar to put aside their differences and withdraw their cases at the tribunal in the interest of national unity and integration.

According to Margif, who identifies as an Ambassador of Peace, the emergence of Tinubu as President is believed to be a divine choice and will for Nigeria.

According to the speaker, Tinubu’s rise to the presidency was not due to the influence of a political godfather, but rather a result of divine intervention.

Nigerians are currently seeking good governance and the benefits of democracy. President Tinubu appears to be making strides towards economic recovery and the development of the nation.

According to a voter, the outcome of the election has shown that Tinubu is the chosen candidate of the people, despite differing opinions and preferences among voters. While some may have voted for other candidates such as Obi or Abubakar, the election results have ultimately favoured Tinubu.

In a recent statement, the individual expressed their willingness to withdraw their litigation against LP’s Plateau State Chapter and the National Executive Councils, which is currently pending before the Federal High Court in Abuja. Despite the ongoing legal proceedings, the individual stated their personal desire to forgive all parties involved.

He suggested that Obi and the LP, along with Abubakar and PDP, should also do the same in the interest of national integration.

In a recent development, Margif, who had initially been elected as LP’s governorship candidate for Plateau, has been replaced by Dr. Patrick Dakum. Margif has now called on Tinubu to establish a government that promotes national unity and integration.

During the general elections, it was noted that a common theme among all candidates, political parties, and their manifestos was the emphasis on national unity and integration, according to his statement.

As per the statement made by the LP stalwart, the unification and integration of Nigeria is the backbone of the country’s strength.

The individual in question has called upon the Tinubu presidency to utilise the Renewed Hope slogan as a means of introducing a fresh Nigeria that aligns with the ideals of the country’s founding fathers.

The speaker is making an appeal to President Tinubu, urging him to prioritise national unity and integration by establishing a government that embodies these values.

The call for the inclusion of women and youth in governance has been made to the leadership of the ‘Renewed Hope’ administration. It is suggested that a platform be established to facilitate this inclusion.

According to Margif, there is a need to design and establish long-lasting national policies that cater to the youth.
