Tems Wins Big at BET Awards 2024.
The BET Awards 2024 have been concluded, bringing great joy to Nigeria’s music industry. The talented Nigerian singer Tems took home the coveted Dr. Bobby Jones Best Gospel/Inspirational Award for her soulful song titled “Me & U.”
Tems’ win was a major highlight of the night for Nigeria, but the celebration didn’t end there. Other Nigerian artists made a significant impact as well. Ayra Starr, Asake, Seyi Vibez, and Burna Boy received nominations in various categories, showcasing Nigeria’s growing influence in the global music scene.
Ayra Starr was nominated for Best New Artist and Best International Act, while Asake and Seyi Vibez competed for Best International Act and Best New International Act, respectively. Burna Boy, a previous BET Award winner, was nominated for Best Male R&B/Pop Artist and Best Hip Hop Act.
