Nnamdi Kanu sends fresh message to ‘Unknown Gunmen’

On Monday, Nnamdi Kanu, the jailed leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), demanded an end to the bloodshed in the Southeast region perpetrated by the so-called “Unknown Gunmen.”

According to Newmen, Nnamdi Kanu’s younger brother, Emmanuel, relayed the IPOB leader’s message.

Kanu was cited as saying that all those responsible for the ongoing killings in the southeast must face justice, adding that the Igbo people are not known for cannibalism, beheadings, or senseless slaughter.

Kanu’s warning comes after police in Anambra State uncovered the severed head of a state legislator who went missing last week. Separatists have been accused of killings and kidnappings in Anambra and other southeast states by the federal government.
