A distressing message has emerged from one of the 20 medical and dental students abducted in Benue State, revealing the captors’ demand for a ransom of N50 million.
Kwaghaondo Aondona Kingsley, a 20-year-old medical student, shared the urgent plea via social media, detailing the dire conditions faced by the group. According to Kingsley, the students have been without food for two days.

In a tweet sent from the captors’ location, Kingsley said, “We were kidnapped on our way to Enugu for a convention. They are asking for 50 million naira for the release of the 20 of us. Please help; we haven’t eaten for two days. Contact Pius at 08163420157—he is managing the funds,” Kingsley wrote.
The abductors have reportedly threatened to begin executing the students if their ransom demands are not met by tomorrow. “They said they would start killing us tomorrow,” Kingsley warned in the tweet.
The students, affiliated with the University of Maiduguri and University of Jos, were en route to a convention when they were ambushed by armed assailants around 5:30 pm in the Otukpo area of Benue State.
