This attack contributed to the increased insecurity in the region, which has dampened farming activities and daily life. Members of the Maro community had been engaged in fundraising to establish a security post to increase police presence in the area, but that effort is yet to see the light of day.
The police are yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.

The attack comes days after the recent rescue operation by troops of the Nigerian Army, where 13 kidnapped victims were freed in Kachia LGA. The military then engaged the insurgents in a gun battle and managed to rescue the hostages, recovering dangerous weapons. Later, the rescued victims were sent for examination and handed over to their waiting families.
Law enforcement agencies continue to seek a lasting solution to the unrelenting attacks across Kaduna State.
