Veteran Nollywood Actor Emmanuel France is Dead

The Nollywood film industry has lost one of its finest actors, Emmanuel France. The thespian actor, who was said to be in his 80s, was popular for showcasing his talent in movies like Cross My Sin, She Is My Sister, and The Director.

News of France’s death was announced by Nigerian filmmaker Femi Ogedengbe in an Instagram post on Monday. In a sad but quite warm expression, Ogedengbe mourned and remembered fond memories of how both had collaborated.

“RIP one of Nollywood’s legends, Uncle Emmanuel France,” Ogedengbe said. “One of the actors I took to Tanzania in 2006. We shot three movies together: Cross My Sin, She Is My Sister, and The Director. R.I.P.”

Hitherto, nobody has been able to ascertain what killed Emmanuel France. His death came as a shock to both fans and colleagues after the loss of another Nollywood actor, Big Larry.
