Arewa Group Issues Strong Warning to Peter Obi Over alleged Substandard Boreholes to Northern Without Clean Water for 30 Years
The Arewa Renaissance Group, a socio-political organization dedicated to the progress of Northern Nigeria, has vehemently criticized Peter Obi for his recent construction of substandard boreholes in the region and issued a stern warning against such actions.
The group’s condemnation comes in response to Peter Obi’s recent installation of a substandard borehole in one of the northern communities.
They expressed deep dissatisfaction with the project, particularly emphasizing the affront caused by Obi’s decision to inscribe his name on the borehole, implying ownership of its construction.

In a strongly worded statement, the Arewa Renaissance Group asserted, “The borehole installed by Peter Obi in our community is a disgrace. Moreover, his audacity to imprint his name on the project is an insult. If Peter Obi believes that such a callous gesture and subpar project can win the favor of Northerners, he is sorely mistaken.
The group further challenged Peter Obi, questioning whether he would dare to execute a similarly substandard project in any community in Southern Nigeria with his name attached. They emphasized that the Northern region does not require his subpar and futile projects and warned him against exploiting the region for his political gain.
“We refuse to be pawns in his political game. We see through his facade, and when the time comes, we will show Peter Obi that we will not be trifled with,” the statement continued.
This stern warning should serve as a reminder to Peter Obi never to disrespect Northern Nigeria in such a manner again.
