7 romantic Valentine’s Day activities you need to know and try in 2023

The Top Seven Romantic Activities you need to know and try in 2023 Valentine’s Day has been highlighted here on Ejes Gist News.

A few days remain until this year’s Valentine’s Day, and the pressure appears to be increasing.

Singles and the heartbroken are overcome with jealousy and chants of “na mumu dey love” in response to the success of the ‘for him’ and ‘for her’ gift packages.

However, even those who have never experienced love are aware that it is a beautiful thing. Since many consider Valentine’s Day to be the most romantic day of the year, it is essential to have a plan (even a simple one!) in place to make your partner feel loved.

It can be difficult to find Valentine’s Day ideas that work for you and your relationship. The good news is that you can celebrate Valentine’s Day as you please (or not at all, if that’s your thing).

Whether you’re married, in a long-term relationship, or in a more casual situation, it’s a good idea to discuss your ideal Valentine’s Day with your partner or plan a surprise for them.

While gifts are a great way to express your affection for your partner, the following are some of the most romantic activities to try:

    1) Vacation

Spend Valentine’s Day as a tourist in your own city or town by reserving a room at a hotel, inn, or holiday rental home. This will enable you and your partner to enjoy the remainder of the day uninterrupted.

You may order room service, watch movies, play games, and engage in any other romantic activities that you and your partner enjoy.

    Also recommend for you.

    2) Romantic couples massage

Act as a masseuse and massage your partner. Set the mood for a romantic couples massage by lighting candles, procuring expensive oils, and researching massage techniques. Take turns massaging one another, and then proceed to the next level.

    3) Prepare an elegant meal together

Create a menu of your and your partner’s preferred dishes. Spend a romantic evening preparing each other’s favourite dishes, as food prepared with affection always tastes better.

    4) Spend lavishly and indulge yourselves

If you are willing to go all out, dress up, go to a fancy restaurant, and treat yourselves to an exquisite meal.

    5) Dance

Valentine’s Day is the ideal occasion for a dance session with romantic lighting. Put on a show for your partner with the help of some romantic lighting and music.

    6) Attend a movie

Dinner and a movie is a time-honored pairing for a reason, despite its apparent simplicity. Furthermore, when was the last time you went to a movie in a theatre?

To elevate the experience even further, visit one of these upmarket cinemas or movie theatres that serve drinks and snacks.

    7) Recreate your initial date

Bring everything back to its origin! Return to the location of your first date (or recreate the atmosphere if you’ve since moved) and reflect on how far you’ve come since that night of sweaty palms and nervous small talk.

Buhari’s Extension Of The Deadline Proves That Tinubu’s Warnings In Abeokuta Were Appropriate — Fani-Kayode

Fani-Kayode has said that Bola Tinubu’s warnings in Abeokuta were appropriate.

Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, an APC chieftain and member of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, has expressed support for the extension of the deadline for the submission of old notes by President Muhammadu Buhari. According to Chief Fani-Kayode, it is in line with what Asiwaju Bola Tinubu said in Abeokuta about Nigeria’s Naira policy.

“I’m glad to announce that President Muhammadu Buhari has extended the deadline set by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). This will lessen our people’s pain and tension and strengthen the democratic process.

This extension further proves that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s warnings in Abeokuta were appropriate, as we have a listening president who dared to direct the CBN Governor to do the right thing. I am confident that this shows that our party, the APC, is united and cannot be divided by the PDP.”

Recently, Bola Tinubu, the National leader of the APC, clarified that the presidential candidate was not referring to President Buhari when he made his statement about the new Naira redesign and fuel scarcity. Tinubu noted that this was an attempt to misquote and misinterpret what had been said. He further stated that such false accusations only undermine the democratic process in Nigeria.

Speaking to the 47 operators who had been detained by the Abuja Environmental Protection Board (AEPB), Attah stated that the FCT Minister, Malam Muhammad Bello, was worried about the security concerns surrounding POS business but had no plans to stop it.

He claimed that because the operators had broken the law regarding the environment, they might go before a mobile court.

He stated that although operating outside of commercial zones and indiscriminately in residential areas was against the law, the POS business was not illegal.

“Reports on the arrested operators will go to the minister to determine whether they complied with the rules of the city which would not give criminals the shield to disguise themselves as POS operators,” he said.

The administration had previously claimed that there had been intelligence reports and complaints from locals about strange people wandering around in some neighborhoods while posing as POS operators.

Tinubu stated this on Sunday at a town hall meeting in Benin City, the Edo State capital with All Progressives Congresses leaders, trade unions and civil society organisations.

Disappointment is an energiser for me. You disappoint me, I work harder. You betray me, I don’t get angry, I ignore you.

“The reason is that you are not my God and you are not my creator. My mother taught me that if you are sad, I will share your sorrow with you. If you are happy, I will rejoice with you. If you are poor, I will share the little I have with you,” Tinubu told his audience.

The former Lagos State governor assured the people of Edo that the country stands to reap sufficient revenue from the gas deposits in the state for meaningful development.

He urged the people to recover Edo from the Peoples Democratic Party and return it to the APC.

“Nigeria will make money because Edo has the largest deposit of gas. We will make money for Nigeria. There will be long-term money for long-term projects. We will develop our gas and ship it to Europe and compete with Russia. I am one of the smartest assets in Nigeria.

“Edo, take your state back. First of all, let us forge unity. Let’s find the way where they say there is no way.

“We must rescue Edo state. I am ready to work with you. Take a lantern, go from house to house. Don’t get angry. Anger does not solve problems,” he said.

He urged the voters to reject the PDP, saying the party has nothing to offer.

“You see PDP, they are scattered, they don’t know the road. Atiku does not know how to lie again except to falsify lie upon lie. Atiku cannot hold a serious job in Nigeria. When they were privatising the Aluminium Smelter Company at Ikot Abasi and privatising NITEL, I was negotiating the Free Trade Zone in China. I negotiated Lekki Deep Seaport in Singapore and it is the Deepest Sea Port now in West Africa. Edo people are extremely smart. You can do the job.

“Count on me at the federal level. I will be your listening president. Vote for me. Prosperity is here. When you put down ballot paper in the box say it is for creating a job. I will create jobs for you because you are not lazy.”

On the criticisms of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd)-led APC administration by PDP, Tinubu said the main opposition party should be ignored.

“People who can’t give power to Nigeria say they want to come back. In only 8 years, APC put rail back. We are putting refineries back and we will produce for you. They can abuse Buhari from morning till night, he does not hear their abuse. Abuse him, rail he provided, second Niger Bridge he provided, Lagos-Ibadan expressway he provided. Benin-Ore Port will be done so that you don’t need to come to Lagos to clear your goods,” the former governor said.

Confusion As Female Corpse Disappears From Mortuary In Ogun

A female corpse has disappeared from mortuary in Ogun State.

A yet-to-be-identified female corpse slated for burial on Saturday has gone missing from the morgue of the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, Sagamu, Ogun State.

A hospital source said the drama started on Friday when the family of the deceased came to the hospital to take the body for burial only for them to discover that the corpse was no longer in the mortuary.

READ ALSO: IGP recommends Frank Mba, Idowu Owohunwa to PSC as Commissioners of Police for Lagos, Ogun

The source said the body, which was brought to the morgue in October 2022, could not be found among 69 other bodies shown to the family for verification.

Ejesgist News also learnt that two attendants in charge of the morgue fled the premises.

The source said, “The family members of the deceased came from Ijebu-Ode to Sagamu with undertakers and ambulance on January 27, 2023, to claim their corpse for burial, but were surprised to discover that the corpse was not part of the 69 bodies brought out of the morgue for verification.

“The CMD and other officials of the hospital were in a confused state as to what could have led to the disappearance of the female corpse deposited in the morgue since October last year.

“A Divisional Police Officer and his men, with other security agencies, visited the Morbid Anatomy and Histopathology Department of the hospital over the matter.”

The management of OOUTH, however, described the incident as a mix-up.

The Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr Oluwabunmi Fatungase, in a statement on Saturday, said the hospital was working with agents to unravel the circumstances behind the incident.

She noted that the footage from the Closed-Circuit Television camera was also being evaluated.

The CMD hinted that the hospital would go as far as conducting a DNA test to identify the corpse.

She said, “Any circumvention of the quality assurance of the hospital will not be taken lightly and necessary consequences in consonance with the public service rules will be applied on whoever is found culpable

“The present administration in Ogun State has upgraded the mortuary with modern freezers and scaled up its amenities. The mortuary services have been a preferred place for many people to keep the remains of their beloved intact until they are ready for burial.

“While apologising to the affected family for the embarrassing situation, we seek their cooperation towards the ongoing investigation. The corpse will be identified and released to them for a befitting burial soon.”

The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said he was not aware of the incident, but promised to get back to our correspondent.

He had yet to do so as of the time this report was filled.

Reps Reject CBN’s 10-Day Deadline Extension; Move To Arrest Godwin Emefiele

House of Reps has rejected the CBN’s 10-day deadline extension and had also threatened to arrest Godwin Emefiele

The House of Representatives Ad Hoc Committee on new naira re-design and naira swap policy has rejected the 10-day extension granted by the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, for the exchange of old notes.

The CBN had fixed January 31 as the deadline for the exchange of the old naira notes – N200, N500 and N1,000.

The CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele, on Sunday, said President Muhammadu Buhari gave permission for the deadline to be extended to February 10.

READ ALSO: BREAKING: CBN extends deadline of collection of old Naira Notes by 10 days

In its swift reaction, the Ad Hoc Committee, chaired by the leader of the House, Alhassan Ado Doguwa, rejected the extension, insisting that the CBN must comply with sections 20 sub 3, 4, and 5 of the CBN act.

Recall the House, during its sitting on Tuesday, following the outcry by Nigerians, constituted the ad hoc committee to look into the issue.

Doguwa said that, ” The 10-day extension for the exchange of the old naira notes is not the solution.

“We as a legislative committee with a constitutional mandate of the House, would only accept clear compliance with section 20 sub 3, 4, and 5 of the CBN act and nothing more.

“Nigeria as a developing economy and a nascent democracy must respect the principle of the rule of law.

“And the House would go ahead to sign arrest warrant to compel the CBN Governor to appear before the ad hoc committee.”

He said under his chairmanship, the committee would continue its work until it gets the demands of Nigerians addressed in accordance with the laws of the land.

Describing the extension as a mere political gimmick to further deceive Nigerians and worsen their economic and social livelihood, Doguwa said the CBN governor must appear before or stand the risk of being arrested on the strength of legislative writs signed by the Speaker on Monday.

He also said the policy is capable of frustrating the forthcoming general elections.

“Security agencies and their operations, especially at the state level, are generally funded through cash advances and direct table payments of allowances to operatives during elections,” he said

On Sunday, former supporters of New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) presidential candidate Rabiu Kwankwaso burned the red caps typically won by the former Kano governor.

They declared their support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

They were among the 10,000 people in Kano who abandoned the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), NNPP, and ADC for the APC.

“As you can see, these individuals are present due to the cohesion and advancement of the APC as the sole political party in Nigeria. The party that has the people’s best interests at heart, the party that wants Nigeria to continue to improve; the party that loves Nigeria and Nigerians.”

She explained that the majority of decampees joined the APC after Tinubu won the party’s presidential primaries.

“They (decampees) understood that Nigeria is on the verge of regaining its glory and that the north is on the verge of regaining its greatness.

“Without a shadow of a doubt, Asiwaju’s background as a freedom fighter (for the establishment of democracy in Nigeria), which culminated in his founding role in the APC’s formation, makes his selection for our party quite exceptional.

“It is a matter of honour for the APC, an obligation that is in no way affected by the decisions of another political party, and it was largely this position that provided the paradigm shift for the party to go for elections rather than consensus, paving the way for Tinubu to win the party’s nomination.

She praised the APC northern governors for ensuring that the party respected the zoning principle.

She ridiculed other presidential candidates, stating that Tinubu was the only one in the race.

“Senator Tinubu exudes presidential qualities. His track record cannot be surpassed. When they asked me why I am so confident that Tinubu is the best presidential candidate, I inquired about his opponents because I am unaware of them.

“These tens of thousands of people are evidence that Tinubu is the people’s choice. “His decisions and choices over the past few months have demonstrated his grasp of the political dynamics of the nation and provided a glimpse of his vision for the country,” the convener said.

The highlight of the ceremony was the burning of red caps, which were replaced with black Asiwaju pea caps for the newcomers to the APC.

Speaking during an interview on ARISE TV’s ‘This Week’ program with Sumner Sambo a few minutes ago, Aniawgu, who is a spokesperson of the Atiku-Okowa Campaign Council, alleged that his party has heard of the intention of Tinubu to ‘deal’ with Buhari over certain misgivings toward the president during his 8-year tenure.

“Tinubu is having his way with this many accusations against our president because he (Buhari) is not used to joining issues with individuals. Let me remind you, when the APC conducted its primaries, after Tinubu won that election, the first he said was more like a threat to our president. He said “it is time to pay you back. That I intentionally made you wait for me today because you have also made me wait, you too should also suffer what I have always suffered.

“We also have it on good authority that even in his closer circles, Tinubu has made it clear that if he wins, he is going to take steps to deal with President Buhari and those that worked closely with him. And what are his reasons? He told them Buhari did not allow him to make the kind of money he is used to making in Lagos. So, he wants the national purse to be made available to him just the same way he has had access to the revenue in Lagos.

“Tinubu believes that there were persons he brought into the economy who over the course of time was taken out by Buhari. A typical example is the man known as Fowler who was brought in to handle our federal internal revenue. Tinubu is not happy and all these statements you hear him making, are ways of expressing his anger toward the President.”

Naira Redesign Targeted At Frustrating Some Elites Hoarding Cash — Presidency Reveals

The presidency has revealed that the naira redesign was mainly targeted at frustrating some elites hoarding cash.

The presidency has for the first time made an attempt to explain the idea behind the hurried redesign of some naira notes, saying it was mainly targeted at frustrating some elite Nigerians who hoard illicit cash.

Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the President, Garba Shehu, in a statement on Saturday said contrary to insinuations, it is not targeted at the common man in the streets.

According to the presidency, government is not resting on its oars to see that citizens’ businesses are safe.

It regretted the disruption caused to the entire supply chain arising from the swap, assuring that it is due to end shortly.

Recall that since the deadline imposed by the Central Bank of Nigeria which is due to elapse on 31st January, there had been reports of long queues of people waiting for hours for their turn to deposit old notes and get new ones.

The development, Ejesgist News observed, had triggered public anger and widespread criticism.

“The currency changes is aimed at people hoarding illicit funds and not the common man, it became necessary to prevent counterfeits, corruption, and terrorist financing. It will stabilize and strengthen the economy on the long run,” Shehu stated on behalf of the presidency.

The Federal Government, however, acknowledged that the poorest section of society is facing untold hardship as they often keep hard cash at home for various expenses.

“Be rest assured that the government will not leave them to their own fate.

“A number of initiatives by the Central Bank and all commercial banks are currently underway to speed up distribution of the new notes we will take all necessary actions to forestall cash squeeze and chaos,” the presidency noted

In a judgment delivered on January 20, Fadima Aminu ordered the PDP to submit Michael Enyong’s name to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as its candidate.

In the suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/1295/2022 filed in August, Enyong had submitted that he won the party’s primaries conducted on May 25, 2022.

Enyong had referred the court to an order by Obiora Egwuatu, judge of a federal high court, on May 18 in suit FHC/ABJ/CS/606/2022 which restrained the PDP from utilising its list of ad-hoc delegates to conduct its gubernatorial primary election in Akwa Ibom, pending the determination of the substantive suit.

The plaintiff said he emerged winner of the indirect primary election scoring 2,448 out of the 2,776 total accredited votes.

But he said the party refused to submit his name to INEC as the governorship flagbearer which informed his decision to seek legal redress.

While INEC maintained a neutral stance in the matter, the 2nd defendant (PDP) never put in an appearance despite the proof of being served with the originating summons and all other processes.

Delivering the judgment, the judge held that Enyong has been able to prove his case beyond a reasonable doubt.

“In the final analysis, this court holds that the plaintiff has successfully proved his case on the preponderance of evidence. Consequently, the plaintiff is hereby declared the validly nominated gubernatorial candidate of the 2nd Defendant having emerged winner of the conducted primary election in Akwa Ibom state for the forthcoming 2023 general elections held on 25th day of May 2022,” the judge said.

“In the same vein, any other governorship primary election held after the valid election of 25th day of May, 2022, that election having no basis in law, is hereby declared null, void, and of no effect together with its outcome.

“The 2nd defendant (PDP) is hereby ordered to submit and present the name and details of the plaintiff to the 1st defendant as its rightful candidate.

“The 1st defendant (INEC) is to accord the plaintiff recognition, issue him a nomination form or publish his name as the 2nd defendant’s Akwa Ibom state gubernatorial candidate for the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

“The activities of a political party cannot be operated arbitrarily or at the whims or caprices of select individuals, no matter how highly placed.

“Political parties are creations of the constitution and statute. Therefore, the affairs of registered political parties in Nigeria must be run in conformity and in obedience to the law creating them.

CNPP has called for a forensic audit of Cross River finances under Governors Donald Duke, Imoke, and Ayade

Group, Conference of Nigerian Political Parties (CNPP) has called for an independent forensic audit of the finances of Cross River State government under the administrations of Donald Duke, Liyle Imoke and Ben Ayade.

In a press statement issued by the State Chairman, Mr Paddy Ally, said available records have shown that the state is in receipt of a humongous amount of money from Federal allocation, apart from the internally generated revenue since the return of democracy, and yet, the state has nothing to show for it.

    The state reads in part;

“The attention of the Conference of Nigerian Political Parties (CNPP) has been drawn to a political campaign video that has gone viral on the internet. In the said video, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was allegedly addressing some electorates and the former governor of Cross River State, His Excellency, Mr. Donald Duke was heard lampooning the governor of Cross River State, Sen. Pro. Ben Ayade, calling his qualification fake degree.

“As a coalition of Independent Political Parties and pressure groups, with the cardinal aim of promoting and supporting good governance, and with the experiences gathered over the years, we do know that campaigns should be issue-based.

“Political parties are expected to sell their manifestos intelligently, professionally, and with every sense of decorum, and not to embark on character assassination.

“It is regretable that our people are impoverished. Many are living in abject poverty without any hope for food, such as garri, rice, bread, let alone kerosene, petrol, electricity, which are beyond the reach of our people. Our people are dying in drove because of failed healthcare, bad government policies of leaders. It is an aberration to continue to predispose the common man to political conflagration.

“The good people of Cross River State must be wiser now than before. We must beware of those politicians who will set us against ourselves; cause us to burn our shanties, kill our brothers and sisters in the name of politics, while they fly abroad in private jets and make mockery of us from their mansions.

“We should be careful with politicians who only call us when they need our votes and come back during the next election cycle with bogus and empty promises. It should be noted that violence does not just happen. Violence is a product of our actions or inactions, such as inflammatory speeches, abusive language, etc. this must not happen in Cross River State!

“Cross River State is greater than any individual or group of people, Perhaps it has become necessary to call for an independent forensic audit of the finances of Cross River State from 1999 til date to ascertain who is a saint and otherwise, since the accusations and counter-accusation.

“We call on all parents to continue to counsel their children/ward not to fall for some politicians cheap antics. The traditional and religious leaders are please requested to be more dutiful. Security agencies should know that a lot depends on them.

“INEC should be more focused and firm in the discharge of her primary responsibility. Remember, Cross River belongs to all of us. If we allow it to burn, posterity shall haunt all of us. 6 Important Documents Nigerian Students Must Have Before Applying for Admission in Canada

Canada is without question one of the most popular destinations for Nigerian students seeking an education abroad. Numerous prospective students apply annually to universities in Canada.

Prior to applying for admission to Canadian universities, Nigerian students must submit a number of documents.

However, there are some students who wish to study in Canada but are unaware of the documents they must possess to be accepted by the schools.

In this article, Ejes Gist News lists six essential documents that Nigerian master’s students must possess in order to travel to Canada.

Important documents for Admission in Canada

    1. International passport

If you are a Nigerian student seeking admission to a Canadian university, you must possess a valid Nigerian passport.

The international passport identifies you as a Nigerian citizen. This document is essential because Canadian schools will consider you an international student and use your passport to determine your country.

The Nigerian Immigration Service issues the Nigerian international passport. You must apply for it prior to beginning the admissions process.

    2. Academic transcript

As a Nigerian student seeking admission to Canadian universities for master’s programmes, you must submit your academic transcript.

Your academic transcript illuminates your performance at your previous institution. It stores all of your academic records from freshman year through graduation.

Your degree-granting university in Nigeria will issue your academic transcript. You will be required to submit a copy of it when applying for admission into Canadian schools.

    3. Statement of purpose

Students from Nigeria who wish to study in Canada will be required to submit a copy of their personal statement.

This document explains why you are applying to the institution and why you should be allowed to enrol in the desired programme.

Knowing how to write a statement of purpose and tailoring it to the requirements of the institution to which you are applying is advantageous.

    4. Reference letters

If you are applying to universities in Canada, you should obtain at least three letters of recommendation.

A reference letter is a recommendation from a person who knows you well and speaks positively about you.

The number of recommendation letters required from Nigerian students varies by institution. Depending on the school’s requirements, you typically request a letter of recommendation from your lecturer or employer.

    5. IELTS/TOEFL or any other English test

As a Nigerian student who wishes to study in Canada, you are considered an international student and will be required to demonstrate English proficiency.

This is why many Canadian schools require you to take the IELTS/TOEFL or another standardised English test.

It is important to note that many schools no longer require this, but having it could increase your chances of admission.

    6. University certificate

Typically, Nigerian applicants to Canadian universities for master’s programmes are required to upload a copy of their university diploma.

The institution would want to verify that you graduated from an accredited Nigerian university.

You should obtain your certificate from your Nigerian university before beginning the admissions process.

Skills to possess before travelling abroad

In a related story, Ejes Gist News  also listed some skills to possess if you want to travel out of Nigeria.

According to the article, those with skills are more likely to survive abroad.

Some of these skills include hairdressing, ICT skills, Teaching, Nursing and more.

BREAKING: Cross River Rejects APC’s Muslim-Muslim Ticket, Says It’s an Affront on The Christian Faith

Cross River State people on Sunday rejected the APC Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket.

Group, the Conference of Nigerian Political Parties (CNPP) on Sunday call on all the good people of Cross River State as well as visitors not to cast their votes for Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the forthcoming general elections.

In a statement signed by the State Chairman, Mr Paddy Ally said Nigeria is a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, and multi-religion in nature.

    The statement reads:

“Religion plays a pivotal role in the national life of Nigeria. This is why anybody who undermines the faith of other Nigerians for whatever reason should not be taken seriously. For example, Christianity is the prominent of religion in not just Cross River State but the entire South-South and South-East. It is, therefore, an affront on the Christian faith for the presidential candidate of the APC to insist on picking a muslim as a vice presidential candidate despite the resounding public outcry from not just Christians but also from a cross-section of our Muslim brothers and sisisters.

“It is sad that of all the presidential candidates, it is only the presidential flag bearer of the APC that runs a Muslim-Muslim ticket. This is not only an abuse on our collective sensibility. It is a flagrant disregard of the people, their religion, their values, and what they stand for. It is still fresh in our minds how our sister from Cross River State who went on youth service was gang-raped and murdered in cold blood for reasons connecting with her faith when we have a sitting Christian vice-president The question on the lips of most Cross Riverians is, “Are we not expecting the worse with a Muslim-Muslim ticket?”.

Furthermore, the refusal by Alhaji Bola Tinubu to pick a northern Christian as a running mate should not be taken on the face value. There is no gainsaying the fact that there must be a grand agenda with cataclysmic effects. Otherwise, one can not fathom why Bola Tinubu will disregard the array of brilliant and politically relevant Christians in Northern Nigeria and still not find anyone capable of being his running mate

“From the forgoing, we therefore call on all well-meaning indigenes of Cross River State, the traditional stool, the media, youths, women, students, and the religious leaders, especially the leadership of the Christians Association of Nigeria (CAN), the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), and other similar bodies to rise up and enlighten their members on the danger of voting the APC presidential candidate.

“We therefore call on all the good people of Cross River State to watch out for a series of our sensitisation programme on radio, in churches, mosques, market places, social media platforms, etc.

“The Conference of Nigerian Political Parties is an independent-minded political pressure group made up of political parties and political associations with the cardinal aim of promoting good governance. We evaluate and identify the credible candidates across party lines. Hence, we mobilize the support and endorsement of the affected candidates to ensure victory.
