Why We Haven’t Confirmed Hilda Baci As New Record Holder For Longest Cooking Marathon Yet – Guinness World Records
Guinness World Records has acknowledged Hilda Effiong Bassey, also known as Hilda Baci, for her attempt to break a world record.
However, Guinness World Records has stated that it will review all the evidence before confirming whether she is the new record holder for the longest cooking marathon.
Earlier on Monday, it was reported that Hilda Baci broke the record for longest cooking time by cooking for over 87 hours and 45 minutes.
The 27 year old che broke the record previously held by the Indian chef Lata Tondon in 2019.
In response to a question posed by AlexanderDGreat on Twitter on Monday, the Guinness World Records stated that it would review the evidence before confirming that Baci had indeed broken the record.

“Why doesn’t Guinness World Record display or discuss Hilda’s cook-a-ton? Can’t see anything on their (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube) pages?” asked the Twitter user.
In response, Guinness World Records tweeted, “We are aware of this incredible record attempt, but we must first review all the evidence before confirming a record officially.”
