No Food Supply Will Be Made To The Entire South-East, We Have Blocked Roads Linking The North To the East — Dr Abdullahi
The Northern Consensus group has boycotted food deliveries to the South East due to the ongoing conflict there and recent attacks that were reportedly carried out by members of the Proscribed IPOB group on local Nigerians. To address the issue before it becomes too late, the group has issued a three-day warning strike to the South East.
Dr. Auwal Abdullahi, the leader of the Northern Consensus group, said they are enraged because the Southeast governors have disregarded their early warnings to curb the IPOB organization.
He added that their actions right now are to show the South Easterners that they mean business. He also noted that the truck drivers have understood their stance and that no food supply will be made to the southeast for the next few days. He said, ”We have blocked the roads linking the North to the East ranging from Benue, Nasarawa, Kwara, and Plateau, and among others. And the truck drivers are cooperating with us.”
