Presidency defends First Lady over an alleged shutdown of Aso Rock Chapel

The Presidency has defended the First Lady over an alleged shutdown of the Aso Rock Chapel.

The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has refuted a report claiming that she gave orders to close the Aso Rock Chapel in the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Her Special Adviser on Media, Busola Kukoyi, stated that the report is completely false and a fabrication.

The First Lady never issued such a directive, and the chapel is still operational, with weekly fellowships taking place. However, it is mentioned that the President has not yet appointed a new Chaplain for the chapel since the departure of the previous one, as the appointment is solely within the President’s authority.
