Tinubu’s reforms will take 12 to 20 years to benefit Nigerians.

Nigerians may have to wait between 12 and 20 years before fully feeling the benefits of President Bola Tinubu’s economic reforms, financial experts have warned.

Alaje noted that structural reforms generally take 12 to 20 years before their positive impact becomes significantly visible to the public. He added that certain countries have managed to record meaningful results within a shorter timeframe of six to 10 years when supporting conditions are met.

The assessment comes as Nigerian households continue to experience elevated living costs following central policy shifts, including foreign exchange unification and the removal of the petrol subsidy.
