According to the source, the chairman’s vehicle was recently seized by creditors but was returned after some party leaders intervened.

Conflicting reports have emerged about the assault. Some sources claim the chairman was attacked by hoodlums hired by his creditors to recover the debt. Another source stated the incident escalated when the chairman slapped one of the boys sent to demand the repayment.

Efforts to get details from the Niger State Police Command have been unsuccessful. The command’s spokesman, SP Wasiu Abiodun, has promised to provide more information but had not responded at the time of filing this report.
