In a grand ceremony held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, President Bola Tinubu has officially inaugurated Senator George Akume as the new Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).

In a gathering of esteemed dignitaries, both past and present Governors, Senator Akume was sworn in to take his Oath of Allegiance and Oath of Office at approximately 11:06 am within the confines of the Council Chambers of the Villa.

Among those who witnessed the ceremony were Vice President Kashim Shettima; Senate President Ahmed Lawan; Kwara Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq; Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr FolasadeYemi-Esan and wife of the new SGF, Mrs Regina Akume.
