Bayero University Kano Refutes Claims of Fake Professors
In a strongly-worded statement, the Vice Chancellor of Bayero University, Kano, Prof. Sagir Adamu Abbas, dismissed recent reports alleging the presence of 20 fake professors within the institution.
The statement, released on Tuesday and obtained by Ejes Gist News, labeled the publication as “malicious, doctored, and fallacious,” expressing concerns about the potential damage to the university’s reputation.

He highlighted the university’s recent global rankings, which positioned BUK as the 5th best University in Nigeria for research, training, and academic programs, as well as the 2nd best in the country for international outlook according to the UK-based Times Higher Education.
