Former Real Madrid and Arsenal midfielder Julio Baptista has named Vinicius Junior as the player who should win the 2024 Ballon d’Or.
Vinicius has been impressive for Real Madrid this season despite missing a few games due to injury.
The 23-year-old has scored 23 goals and provided 11 assists in 37 games across competitions for Carlo Ancelotti’s side this term.
The Brazilian has also bagged five goals and as many assists in nine games in the UEFA Champions League, propelling Los Blancos to a final against Borussia Dortmund at Wembley on June 1.
Baptista said (as per Marca via Madrid Xtra): “Ballon d’Or? I would give it to Vinicius Jr. this year.”
