How To Calculate NYSC Age Limit 2023 For Mobilisation Now – New Guide

What is the age limit for NYSC mobilization? How To Calculate NYSC Age Limit for mobilisation in 2023 using the Simplest Guide.

This post will answer the following questions:

One of the most important factors to consider when determining eligibility for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme is a person’s age. As a result, the primary goal of this article is to show how to calculate the Nysc age limit for mobilisation.

Knowing how to calculate the NYSC age limit for mobilisation in 2023 is important. It will help prospective Corps members know their eligibility status using the same method as the NYSC.

    The NYSC Age Limit 2023

“It will interest you to know that graduates who are over the age of 30 are only eligible for a certificate of exemption. It is essential for you to understand that the National Youth Service Programme (NYSC) has a 30-year age limit. This means that the program is designed for those who are 30 years of age or younger when they graduate. If you graduated at 29 years old and were mobilized but couldn’t complete it, you can undergo remobilization at any time, regardless of your age.

The NYSC exemption certificate is not a bad omen; the NYSC certificate of exemption is equivalent to the NYSC discharge certificate. The only difference is that you will not serve and will not receive the N33,000 monthly allowance paid to serving Corps members.

What is the age limit for NYSC mobilization.

In case you don’t know, if not that the NYSC is compulsory for graduates that are 30 years of age or younger, many of them would rather be exempted from service than serve. How To Calculate NYSC Age Limit

    Can 31-year-olds go for NYSC?

Prospective NYSC members should carefully read this article. This article will teach you how NYSC calculates the age limit for mobilisation and answer this question.

When Does NYSC Exempt Graduates From Service?

    • When the graduated person is above the age of 30 years at graduation
    • If the graduated person has served in the Nigerian military or paramilitary for one year or more or is currently serving.
    • When a person graduates, he is physically ‘disabled,” that is, he is not physically active or fit.

Please keep in mind that if you are a part-time graduate (CEP), you will be issued an exclusion letter. It should be noted that the exclusion letter is not less formal than the discharge certificate. The certificate of exemption, on the other hand, is the same as the discharge certificate.

What is the purpose of NYSC?

It is critical to understand the purpose of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in order to understand why the programme has an age restriction.

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), established by the Federal Government of Nigeria following the civil war, has as its primary goal the promotion of unity among Nigerians, reconciliation among communities, reconstruction and reintegration with one another, and the breaking of the ice that had formed between Nigerians due to the Civil War (CW).

    • How To Calculate NYSC Age Limit

Nigerian youths under the age of 30 who have graduated from universities and polytechnics in Nigeria or abroad are eligible to apply for this position. It means that if you graduated before the age of thirty, you are eligible to serve (if you did so before then).

For example, if a person graduated prior to the age of 30 but did not serve for a variety of reasons, Individuals over the age of 40 are still eligible to serve because they completed their education before the age of thirty.

How To Calculate NYSC Age Limit

The following explains how the NYSC age limit is calculated for mobilisation:

The date of birth is calculated using information submitted to JAMB. They begin counting when a person is born and end when a person graduates from a post-secondary educational institute (tertiary institution). If the person is over the age of 30 at the time of graduation, a letter of exemption will be issued to the person.

It should be noted that NYSC is day-sensitive; for example, if you turn 30 in one day, you will be exempt from National Youth Service.

How To Calculate NYSC Age Limit

After some schools tampered with their graduates’ ages, the scheme shifted to JAMB in order to obtain more accurate and reliable information about the students’ birth dates.

If a candidate claims that their JAMB-submitted date of birth was incorrect, the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) will verify this by checking their WAEC O level data (West African Examination Council).

Please keep in mind that the date of graduation will be written on your degree or HND certificate. Graduates are recognised after they have received their degree or HND, passed their final exam, and completed their project defence.

In the following section, you will find a few questions and answers about the age limit for NYSC mobilisation.

    F.A.Q

What is the age limit for NYSC mobilisation?

The age limit for NYSC mobilisation is 30 years. Knowing how the NYSC calculates an individual’s age for mobilisation is important because it will assist you in calculating your eligibility status using the same method that the NYSC employs. If you are aware of how the NYSC calculates an individual’s age for mobilisation, this will help you. Those graduates who are at least 30 years old at the time of their graduation will be given a certificate of exemption upon receiving their diploma or degree certificate. As a direct consequence of this, participants in the National Youth Service programme must be under the age of 30.

How is the NYSC age limit calculated?

Your “Date of Birth” will be determined by the information you gave to JAMB, which will be used by the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). When determining your age, they will begin with the date of your birth and continue until the date that you graduate from a higher education institution. This will be done in order to get the most accurate age possible. If you are at least 30 years old, you will have the legal capacity or qualification to participate in the NYSC programme.

How many times does NYSC mobilise graduates every year?

Batch A, Batch B, and Batch C are the three groups that are accepted into the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) on an annual basis. Because of the logistical difficulties involved, the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) may split a batch into two streams if the number of graduates who have registered for that batch is more than what was expected.

How many graduates are mobilised for each batch or stream?

It’s possible that the number will change depending on the circumstances. To answer your question directly, there is no reliable source that can provide a precise number; however, the overall number of graduates in each batch is normally around 40,000.

How to reduce the age for NYSC

It is against the law to reduce your age so that you can become eligible for NYSC mobilisation. If you are caught doing so, you risk a possible prison sentence of one year.

Is there any age limit for NYSC participation?

There is a minimum age requirement of 30, which is correct. Everyone over the age of 30 will be issued a certificate of exemption from the National Youth Service Corps rather than having the opportunity to participate in the programme themselves.

To further support their well-being, an accommodation allowance of twenty-five thousand naira per term will be granted, summing up to a substantial seventy-five thousand naira for three terms.

Outstanding students will not be left behind, as they will be eligible for sponsorship and scholarships, ensuring that the brightest minds have access to quality education.

For adult learners seeking new opportunities, they will be directed to various Mass Education Centers, ensuring accessibility to education for all.

In addressing overcrowding in schools that have reached their maximum capacity in terms of facilities, a shifting system will be temporarily implemented while additional buildings are provided to meet the increasing demand.

This proactive approach by the Taraba State Government demonstrates its unwavering commitment to education, the welfare of NYSC members, and the development of a brighter future for the youth in the state.

Boko Haram Kills 10 Farmers, Abducts Several in Borno – Naija News

Marauding Boko Haram insurgents carried out a brutal attack on Saturday night in Mafa Local Government Area of Borno State, leaving a trail of tragedy as they killed 10 farmers and abducted many others.

The attack unfolded late in the afternoon in the fields located between Bulakunkumma and Maiwa villages of Baram Karowa ward within the LGA. This was not the only incident, as the insurgents also infiltrated Zannari ward, a part of Maiduguri metropolitan area situated within the same LGA (Mafa) on the same day (Saturday). There, they demanded and secured N4 million from an undisclosed businessman to avert abduction.

While an impeccable source named Ya Bukar confirmed the attack and mentioned four abductees, another source, Goni Mohammed, stated that the number of abductees was nine.

“They came roving across farms in search of food and cash,” explained Bukar over the phone. He continued, “When the farmers said they couldn’t afford the amounts they requested for, they killed 10 of them, all men, and went away with four.”

The insurgents’ strategy appears to have been to eliminate potential witnesses who could report their actions to security forces promptly.

Mohammed, on the other hand, reported, “The insurgents abducted nine farmers when they told them that they didn’t have any cash to give.”

As of now, the Borno State Police Command has not issued an official statement regarding these incidents. Efforts to reach ASP Sani Shatambaya, the spokesman for the Borno Police Command, have been unsuccessful.

This tragic event serves as a reminder of the security challenges faced by farmers in rural communities. Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, had recently cautioned farmers against remaining in the fields after 5 p.m. This curfew is intended to protect them from the insurgents who often roam the outskirts in search of prey. The governor also urged security forces and agro-rangers to ensure that no farmer remains in the fields beyond this stipulated time.

The situation highlights the ongoing security concerns in the region and the urgent need for measures to safeguard the lives and livelihoods of vulnerable populations.

Atiku Releases 10 Biggest lies of Tinubu’s govt you need to know

Atiku’s Office Exposes Top 10 Alleged Deceptions in Tinubu’s Government.

In a scathing revelation, Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, has unveiled what he claims to be the top 10 deceits characterizing the Bola Tinubu administration.

Shaibu contends that these repeated falsehoods are indicative of Tinubu’s reliance on propaganda rather than effective governance.

The statement, released over the weekend, asserts that these falsehoods cast doubt on the sincerity of Tinubu’s government and its commitment to rescuing citizens from what Shaibu terms “the bottomless pit of bad governance” experienced over the past eight years and 117 days of the All Progressives Congress’ administration.

Shaibu urged Nigerians not to be swayed by the recent apology issued by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, and other members of Tinubu’s team. According to Shaibu, they are apologizing not out of genuine remorse but because they have been exposed. He also highlighted the disproportionate number of media aides compared to economic and security advisers in Tinubu’s administration as an indicator of the government’s reliance on propaganda.

Here are the 10 biggest lies of the Tinubu regime as compiled by Shaibu:

    1. Fuel Subsidy: The first alleged falsehood was Tinubu’s claim in his inaugural speech that petrol subsidies had been removed. Despite oil prices soaring to $94 per barrel and a naira exchange rate of N1,000/$1, the price of diesel has risen to around N1,000 per liter, while petrol remains at about N620 per liter. This, according to Shaibu, suggests that petrol is still being subsidized, and the lack of transparency implies possible misappropriation.
    2. UAE Visa Ban: Another alleged lie was the announcement that the United Arab Emirates had lifted the visa ban on Nigerians, allowing free travel to Dubai. However, this claim was later debunked by UAE authorities.
    3. NASDAQ Bell Ringing: Tinubu’s assertion that he was the first African President to ring the NASDAQ bell was challenged, with evidence showing that Malawian President Jakaya Kikwete had done so in 2011.
    4. Meeting with President Biden: A statement by Ajuri Ngelale in August 2023 claiming that U.S. President Joe Biden requested a meeting with Tinubu during the UNGA was disputed when no such meeting took place.
    5. Exchange Rate Claims: Tinubu’s declaration that the exchange rate had been stabilized was refuted by the current rates, with the I&E Window at about N780/$1 and the parallel market at about N1,000/$1.
    6. Misleading Air Strike: The Nigerian government’s claim of an air strike against terrorists in Niger State was criticized as propaganda by Premium Times, alleging that innocent civilians were killed.
    7. Unfulfilled Forex Injection: A promise by the Central Bank of Nigeria to inject $10 billion into the foreign exchange market within two weeks went unfulfilled, causing the naira to depreciate further.
    8. Prejudice in Appointments: Tinubu’s commitment to serving without prejudice was disputed as key appointments were allegedly biased in favor of specific regions.
    9. Questionable Afrexim Loan: Claims of a $3 billion Afrexim loan to stabilize the naira were questioned as the naira continued to decline.
    10. Student Loan Act: Shaibu criticized the Student Loan Act, stating that it only covered tuition fees while government schools increased other expenses, rendering the law ineffective.

The statement from Atiku’s office concludes that these alleged deceptions reflect a government focused on propaganda rather than the welfare of the Nigerian people. Shaibu called on the media to fact-check government claims to maintain their credibility.

Please note that these allegations are made by Atiku’s office and should be subjected to independent verification.

He also insulted former Senate President Ahmad Lawan as a tomato trader who had no business running for president.

He later apologised for his remarks, but many Nigerians doubted his sincerity and sincerity.

At the retreat in Ikot-Ekpene, Mr Shettima urged the lawmakers to do their parts in making Nigeria work as a nation, saying that the country’s success was a win for the black race.

“We are the representatives of our people, we are the representatives of the black men; that is the burden we carry. If Nigeria fails, the black man has failed, let us make Nigeria work,” he said.

What is the reaction of Nigerians to Shettima’s remark?

The reaction of Nigerians to Shettima’s remark is mostly negative, as many people have criticized him for insulting his former classmate and demeaning his career. Some of the comments from Nigerians on social media are:

“Shettima is a disgrace to the office of the vice president. How can he mock someone who is working hard in a bank? Does he think everyone wants to be a politician?”

“Shettima should apologize to Oladipo and all Nigerians for his rude and insensitive comment. He has shown that he lacks respect and empathy for others.”

Shettima is just exposing his arrogance and ignorance. He does not know the value of education and banking. He should learn from Tinubu who is an economic wizard and a successful businessman.”

“Shettima is not fit to be a vice president. He is a divisive and clueless leader who does not care about the welfare of Nigerians. He should resign or be impeached.”

However, some Nigerians have also defended Shettima, saying that he was only trying to motivate the lawmakers and that his remark was taken out of context. Some of the comments from Nigerians on social media are:

“Shettima did not mean to insult Oladipo or any banker. He was just using him as an example to show that Nigeria needs more leaders who can handle security and economy.”

“Shettima is a brave and patriotic leader who has sacrificed a lot for Nigeria. He has fought against Boko Haram and corruption. He deserves our support and appreciation.”

Tinubu snubs CNN interview over Chicago certificate saga

What is the latest news on Tinubu’s certificate saga?

President Bola Tinubu has reportedly declined an invitation from the CNN to appear on its program and address the controversy surrounding his academic credentials. The president, who is facing a legal challenge from his main rival, Atiku Abubakar of the PDP, over the authenticity of his certificate from the Chicago State University (CSU), has been silent on the matter since it erupted in June 2022.

According to a source at the CNN, who spoke to INVESTIGATIVE WIRES on condition of anonymity, the network had reached out to Tinubu’s office several times to request an interview with him, but was met with either refusal or silence. The source said the CNN wanted to give Tinubu an opportunity to clear the air on the allegations that he submitted a forged certificate to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the 2023 presidential election.

The source said: “We have been trying to get President Tinubu on our show for months now, but he has been avoiding us. We wanted to hear his side of the story and ask him some tough questions about his certificate. But he seems to be hiding something. He has not given us any reason for his refusal. We are disappointed that he is not willing to face the public and answer for his actions.”

The certificate saga has cast a shadow over Tinubu’s presidency, as Atiku Abubakar has filed a suit at the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, seeking the release of Tinubu’s academic records by the CSU. Atiku’s lawyers have argued that Tinubu’s certificate is a forgery and that he is not qualified to hold the office of the president under the Nigerian Constitution.

The CSU has confirmed that Tinubu graduated from the institution in 1979, but has been unable to verify the authenticity of the document he presented to INEC. The university has cited the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), which protects student records’ privacy and limits what it can reveal to third parties. However, it has also stated that it would comply with a court order if issued by a US judge.

Tinubu has opposed Atiku’s application and accused him of being desperate and malicious. He has also blamed the discrepancies on his certificate on the school’s clerk and claimed that he obtained it legitimately. He has not, however, provided any evidence to back up his claims or explained why his certificate bears the signature of Elnora Daniel, who was not a staff member of the CSU until 1998².

The case is still before the US court and on Monday 25,  September, 2023 has been fixed for its hearing. Meanwhile, Nigerians are left wondering about the true identity of their president and whether he is fit to lead them.

Illegal Mining: Shoot Violators on Sight, Governor Orders Security Agencies

Governor Lawal Takes Drastic Measures to Curb Illegal Mining and Banditry in Zamfara State.

Gusau, Zamfara State – In a resolute move to restore law and order in Zamfara State, Governor Dauda Lawal issued a sweeping ban on illegal mining, accompanied by a stark directive: security agents are authorized to shoot violators of the order on sight. The governor’s decisive action comes as the state grapples with the enduring menace of banditry and criminal activities that have been fueled by illicit mining operations.

Mr. Lawal’s media aide, Suleiman Idris, quoted the governor as stating, “Illegal mining is undeniably one of the driving forces behind the rampant banditry plaguing Zamfara. We must take swift and decisive action to curb this menace and restore peace and security to our communities.”

The connection between illegal mining and escalating insecurity in the state has been a growing concern. It is widely acknowledged that these illicit mining activities have provided financial sustenance to criminal elements operating in various parts of Zamfara.

Governor Lawal emphasized the urgency of the situation, saying, “The directive is necessary to ensure the safety and security of the people of Zamfara and deter potential wrongdoers. It is also a swift action to enable the government to be in total control of the state’s resources and block activities that endanger the lives and properties of the people.”

This decisive ban on illegal mining is not a new concept in Zamfara. Former Governors Abdulaziz Yari and Bello Matawalle had previously imposed similar bans due to their understanding of how this activity exacerbated insecurity, leading to the loss of thousands of lives and properties in Zamfara communities.

Governor Matawalle had even taken the significant step of constituting an anti-illegal mining committee in June 2019 to enforce the ban he announced in April of the same year. This move came months after President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration prohibited mining activities in Zamfara to address the escalating insecurity in the region.

However, despite these previous bans and measures, illegal mining activities have persisted in Zamfara, underscoring the gravity of the issue and the need for stringent action.

Governor Lawal’s resolute stance sends a clear message: Zamfara State is committed to ending the destructive cycle of illegal mining that has not only ravaged its communities but also threatened the lives and well-being of its citizens. As security forces stand poised to enforce this ban, the hope is that this bold step will pave the way for a more secure and prosperous Zamfara.

Npower News: N-power Program Rejigging: 5 Benefits You Don’t Want to Miss.

In today’s latest Npower News, we delve into the five potential developments that might unfold as the Npower Program undergoes a transformation. With the recent assurance from Dr. Betta Edu, the Minister of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, that the National Investment Programme will be revamped for greater effectiveness and broader coverage, here’s what you need to know:

Npower Program Rejigging: 5 Ways It Will Impact Nigerian Youths

    1. Batch Transition and Stipend Payments The impending transition is a critical aspect of the rejiggering process. As the current batch of Npower beneficiaries is set to conclude their term by October 2023, it’s expected that the new N-power Management will facilitate the smooth exit of Batch B and address any outstanding stipend payments, ensuring that beneficiaries receive their dues.

    2. Recruitment of a Fresh Batch To sustain the momentum of the Npower Program, the revamped management is likely to kickstart the process of recruiting a new batch of N-power volunteers in 2023. This move aligns with the program’s mission of empowering Nigerian youths.

    3. Stipend Payment Adjustment One of the key considerations during the rejiggering will be the review of stipend payments for Npower beneficiaries. This review might involve adjustments, either upward or downward, aimed at optimizing the program’s impact and expanding its reach to accommodate more beneficiaries.

    4. Oversight by NSIPA The National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA), under the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation and managed by Mrs. Bulus, is expected to play a pivotal role in overseeing the affairs of the N-power Program and other NSIP initiatives. This administrative restructuring aims to enhance program efficiency and accountability.

    5. Embracing the Digital Economy In line with the government’s emphasis on job creation through the digital economy, the revamped Npower Management may pivot towards engaging more beneficiaries in digital-related pathways. This strategic shift reflects the evolving employment landscape and the need to equip Nigerian youths with skills that align with emerging opportunities.

As the Npower Program gears up for its transformation, these anticipated changes hold the promise of a more inclusive, effective, and impactful initiative that will continue to empower Nigerian youths on their journey towards self-reliance and prosperity. Stay tuned for further updates as the program evolves to meet the dynamic needs of the nation.

    Why Exchange Rates Matter

Understanding exchange rates is not only for currency traders but also for businesses involved in international trade, travelers planning trips abroad, and anyone conducting financial transactions that involve converting between the Naira and Dollar. These rates can affect prices, profits, and the overall economic landscape

Factors Influencing Foreign USD to Naira Exchange Rate.

The following are the facts responsible for the depreciation of the Nigerian currency.

Inflation Rates: It is well known that inflation directly impacts black market exchange rates. If the Nigerian economy can be stabilized and inflation is controlled, the naira will benefit; however, if the naira continues to fall, it may indicate that food and other necessities are becoming more expensive daily.

dollar to naira today black market ,Aboki Dollar to Naira Today

Interest Rates: Another tool to keep an eye on is interest rates. If the interest rate at which banks lend money rises, it would harm the economy, causing it to contract and, as a result, the value of the naira to fall.

Government Debt: National debt can impact investor confidence and, as a result, the influx of funds into the economy. If inflows are high, the naira exchange rate will rise in favour of the Nigerian currency..
Speculators: Speculators frequently impact the naira-to-dollar exchange rate. They stockpile money in anticipation of a gain, causing the naira to plummet even lower.
Conditions of Trade: Favorable trade terms will increase the value of the naira to the dollar, although Nigeria is currently experiencing a trade deficit. Everything comes from China, India, and the majority of Asian countries.

Here are some of the factors that can affect the CBN exchange rate between the Nigerian naira and the US dollar:

    • Demand and supply: If there is more demand for the US dollar than there is supply, the exchange rate will go up. Conversely, if there is more supply of the US dollar than there is demand, the exchange rate will go down.
    • Economic factors: The state of the Nigerian economy and the US economy can also affect the exchange rate. For example, if the Nigerian economy is doing well, the naira will be more valuable. Conversely, if the Nigerian economy is doing poorly, the naira will be less valuable.
    • Political factors: Political instability in Nigeria or the US can also affect the exchange rate. For example, if there is a coup in Nigeria, the naira will likely lose value.

Timi Frank Questions President Tinubu’s Resistance to Release Academic Records.

Former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Timi Frank, has publicly questioned President Bola Tinubu’s attempts to prevent the release of his academic records.

Frank, known as an ally of Tinubu’s political rival, Atiku Abubakar, criticized the President for what he perceived as a desperate move to obstruct the unveiling of his academic records from Chicago State University (CSU).

In a statement issued in Abuja, Frank expressed his concern and bewilderment at Tinubu’s actions, demanding to know the motivation behind the President’s eagerness to appeal a judgment by a US Magistrate Court that instructed CSU to disclose his academic records.

“If you know you have clean academic records, why are you fighting to stop their being released? What ‘severe and irreparable harm’ will you suffer if the records are released?” Frank questioned.

Frank called on all Nigerians to take a stand and participate in the quest for the President’s authentic academic records. He emphasized that this should not be a one-man battle and urged citizens to collectively demand transparency in their leader’s qualifications, highlighting the potential political and diplomatic consequences for Nigeria if this matter is left unaddressed.

“This fight should not be for Atiku Abubakar alone. Nigerians must rise up and demand to know the academic records of their president. Tinubu’s desperate attempt to buy time with his recent appeal is a huge embarrassment to Nigerians both at home and in the diaspora. Why does the court-ordered release of Tinubu’s academic records appear like a matter of life and death to the President?” Frank remarked.

Frank appealed to Tinubu to cease embarrassing Nigerians with what he characterized as a “do-or-die” attempt to suppress the release of his academic records. He asserted that Nigerians are eager to ascertain the genuine qualifications of their President and urged Tinubu to reconsider his stance.

The more you fight to conceal your academic records, the more you damage the image of the country and its ability to attract investors who want to do business with genuine and trustworthy partners and not those believed to have skeletons in their cupboards. Are Nigerians not entitled to know the authentic academic qualifications of their president?” Frank concluded.

The ongoing dispute over President Tinubu’s academic records continues to captivate the nation’s attention as questions regarding transparency and accountability persist.

Battle Over President Tinubu’s Chicago Academic Records Intensifies.

In an unprecedented legal showdown, Nigerians are bracing themselves for a fierce legal battle over the academic records of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at Chicago State University (CSU). This legal skirmish has attracted the attention of prominent figures including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and political parties like the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and the Labour Party (LP).

The legal saga began with a directive from US District Judge Nancy Maldonado to stay an order requiring CSU to provide Tinubu’s academic documents to Atiku’s legal team. The initial order was issued by Magistrate Jeffrey Gilbert, who mandated CSU to share all pertinent and non-privileged documents with Atiku’s representatives within two days. However, Tinubu’s legal team swiftly moved to challenge Gilbert’s decision, leading to Maldonado’s intervention.

Atiku’s media adviser, Paul Ibe, stressed the importance of transparency in this matter, questioning why President Tinubu would withhold his academic records from public scrutiny. He emphasized that Nigerians should take a keen interest in the situation, asserting that the President’s actions cast a shadow over the principles of due process, transparency, and accountability.

The NNPP has joined the chorus, urging President Tinubu to authorize the release of his academic records to quell rising tensions and suspicions. The NNPP’s new National Publicity Secretary, Yakubu Shemdam, expressed concern that the certificate controversy could become a distracting issue if left unresolved. Shemdam suggested that President Tinubu’s prompt cooperation would enable him to focus on his developmental plans for the nation.

The LP’s campaign team, representing presidential candidate Peter Obi, also weighed in on the matter. They called on President Tinubu to present his academic records as proof against his critics. The Chief Spokesman of Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council, Yunusa Tanko, found the President’s excuse for withholding the records unacceptable and implied that it suggested hidden information.

Babatunde Ogala, the Coordinator of the Tinubu Presidential Legal Team, confirmed their readiness for the legal battle ahead and hinted that they would meet any challenges head-on. However, Ogala refrained from commenting on whether the President is concealing information from the public.

The intensifying legal battle over President Tinubu’s academic records has raised significant questions about transparency and accountability at the highest levels of Nigerian politics
