    Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God has stated that prayer is still the best way to bring about peace in Nigeria and put an end to the Boko Haram insurgency in the country’s North-East.

    On Thursday, Adebayo visited Usman Kadafur, the deputy governor of Borno, at the Government House in Maiduguri as a courtesy.

    Adeboye arrived in the region on Wednesday and encouraged believers “to seek the face of God over the situation of security and other difficulties affecting the nation.

    “To end the threat, a combination of physical and spiritual combat had become necessary.”

    There are issues that are beyond the scope of human intelligence; it requires the intervention of God to convince some of these bandits to turn themselves in.

    The party was fired by the court for “non-compliance” with the Electoral Act in how its primaries were conducted.

    The NNPP candidates had been sued by the state’s ruling Peoples Democratic Party, which was seeking to have them disqualified.

    The PDP was able to show the court that the opposition party did not adhere to the rules outlined in the new Electoral Act during their party primaries, according to the ruling of the presiding judge, Justice Turaki Muhammed.

    The Independent National Electoral Commission was thus instructed by the judgement to stop recognising the impacted individuals as candidates.

  • Bandits snatch phones, valuables from police officers in Zamfara

    Bandits who stormed a police outpost in the Magami town of Gusau, the state capital, stole the cellphones of some police officers who were on duty in Zamfara State.

    “Bandits stormed the Magami Divisional Police Station in the Gusau LGA of Zamfara State, stole the police officers’ on-duty phones and other valuables, fired warning shots, and then fled. The incident took place today at 3:40 PM.

    According to the source, the terrorists broke into the police station with the goal of releasing one of them who was being held there.

    A Nigerian student who relocated to the UK to pursue his studies is about to be deported for putting in more than 20 hours per week of employment.

    A Twitter user going by the handle @Oludeewon posted the article and claimed that foreign students are not legally permitted to work more than 20 hours per week in the UK.

    Evidently, the Nigerian had violated the requirements of his student visa, which forbids him from working more than 20 hours per week.

    Unfortunately, his visa was revoked since he did not follow the rules and meet the requirements.

    “Explanation of cancellation

    Your permission to stay in the UK has been revoked and will no longer be valid starting immediately. These are the causes:

    You are specifically seen as someone who obtained permission to stay by fraud. Following your application for a work leave to remain visa, you were given permission to stay until September 14, 2027.

    This was approved after you affirmed that you had not previously broken any of the terms of your T4 student visa.

    Fire Service Commanding Officer Have stated that over N8 Billion Naira worth of property have been razzed down from January to October

  • Ummita: Chinese Lover Denies Killing Kano Girlfriend

    Geng Quangrong, a Chinese national, has refuted the accusations made against him in front of the Kano High Court on Miller Road, presided over by Justice Sunusi Ado Ma’aji.

    The attorney for the prosecution made a motion requesting that the interpreter, who is from Abuja, be taken into consideration.

    The matter was therefore postponed until the 16th, 17th, and 18th of November for additional hearing by the judge, Sunusi Ado Ma’aji.
