According to reports, the demolition follows the arrest of masked individuals who had allegedly invaded the state secretariat in Agodi, Ibadan, over the weekend. Joint security personnel deployed to counter the invasion apprehended the intruders, prompting heightened security concerns in the area.

Confirming the demolition, CP Fatai Owoseni (retd.), the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security Matters, acknowledged the action but refrained from providing further details when contacted by Punch for clarification.
