Adams Oshiomhole Sparks Controversy with Rigging Remark After PDP Accusations in Edo Election.
Former APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, has stirred controversy following comments made during a press conference after the just-concluded Edo State Governorship election.
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) had earlier accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of colluding with the All Progressives Congress (APC) to manipulate the election results in favor of the APC candidate, Monday Okpebholo, over PDP’s Asue Ighodalo.

In a now-viral video obtained by Ejes Gist News, Oshiomhole was caught saying, “For democracy to flourish, only those who can endure the pain of rigging should participate in an election.
The statement immediately drew attention, with many interpreting it as an inadvertent admission of election malpractice. Oshiomhole, realizing the implication of his words, quickly attempted to correct himself, but the damage was already done.
