Simon Ekpa funding criminals in Orsuihitukwa, ESN has no camp there – IPOB blasts Army, others
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has accused Simon Ekpa, a self-styled Biafra agitator based in Finland, of funding and recruiting criminals operating in Orsuihitukwa, Orsu Local Government Area of Imo State. According to IPOB, these criminals are not affiliated with its Eastern Security Network (ESN) but are infiltrators backed by Ekpa.
Reacting to a viral video depicting Nigerian Joint Security Forces dancing at Eke Ubahi Eze market in Orsuihitukwa, Emma Powerful, spokesperson for IPOB, denounced their actions as an “unfortunate dance of shame.

He clarified that ESN has no camp in Orsuihitukwa and emphasized that ESN is not a terrorist organization but a group of law-abiding volunteers focused on community defense.
Powerful’s statement reads in part: “ESN does not have any camps at Orsuihitukwa, and all ESN camps are intact. ESN is not a terrorist para-military but a group of self-defense, law-abiding volunteers that protect our communities from Islamic terrorists the Nigerian government does not wish to confront.

He further criticized the recent actions of the Nigerian security forces, describing them as a “cheap blackmail and propaganda” against IPOB and ESN. Powerful alleged that the criminals in Orsuihitukwa were recruited and funded by the Nigerian government through a Fulani double agent almajiri boy in Finland, referring to Ekpa.
Powerful also claimed that the criminals denounced IPOB and ESN in leaked audio conversations, pointing to their affiliation with a fraudulent Biafra government in exile, supposedly orchestrated by Simon Ekpa.
