Portable Arrested Over Unpaid Debt.

Controversial musician Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for failing to pay a debt he incurred while purchasing a G-Wagon from a car dealer in the state.

According to reports, Portable paid only N13 million out of the total cost of N27 million for the vehicle, and had refused to pay the remaining N14 million balance, claiming that the car was faulty.

The car dealer, who had been trying to recover the debt, reported the matter to the police, leading to Portable’s arrest.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest, stating, “Yes, Portable has been arrested. He bought a G-Wagon for N27 million, paid N13 million and refused to pay the rest, claiming the vehicle was bad. We arrested him today.”

The arrest has sparked a heated debate among fans and critics, with some calling for the musician to take responsibility for his actions, while others have expressed sympathy for him, citing the need for understanding and support.
