Governor Oborevwori had earlier terminated Eradajaye’s appointment following allegations that linked him to the murder of Akemu, a sand dealer, during a confrontation at a community sand beach in Adagbrassa-Ugolo. The altercation allegedly escalated, leading to Akemu being fatally assaulted by Eradajaye and his loyalists.

The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Bright Edafe, confirmed on Friday that Eradajaye is currently at large. He also provided details of the incident, explaining that the dispute arose when Eradajaye, as the interim chairman of the Adagbrassa-Ugolo community, demanded two trips of sand daily from Akemu, who offered only one. The disagreement reportedly led to a violent encounter.

Edafe further disclosed that Eradajaye initially reported the altercation to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), claiming he had been injured during the fight. However, after seeking brief medical treatment, Eradajaye disappeared, prompting the police to launch a manhunt.

The Commissioner of Police has vowed that justice will be served, instructing the DPO to ensure Eradajaye’s arrest and a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the murder.

Authorities have urged the public to assist with information that could lead to Eradajaye’s capture, emphasizing the importance of due process and justice.
