Peter Obi’s Campaign Director official Dumped labour party
Alhaji Alhassan Bawu, the campaign director for Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi in Bauchi State, has defected to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Bawu, who defected to the PDP along with other Northeast party officials, attributed the decision to the lack of LP structure at the State, local, and ward levels.
He stated, “The LP is weak and will not win a single seat in this region.”

Announcing his defection to reporters in Bauchi, the nation’s capital, on Tuesday, he stated, “We don’t want to waste our votes, and we want to use this time to mobilise votes for the candidate most likely to win the election.”
He stated that all party chairmen, state and zonal officers, and national officers from the zone have defected to support Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the PDP.
