Jigawa Govt sacks boards of government parastatals

Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has immediately dismissed the boards and chief executive officers of state government agencies.

In a statement issued on Wednesday in Dutse, Alhaji Muhammad Dagaceri, Permanent Secretary, Administration and Finance, Office of the Secretary to the State Government, disclosed this information.

“The governor has relieved the appointments of Managing Directors, General Managers, Executive Secretaries, Chairmen, and Members of Boards of Agencies/Parastatals, with the exception of Commissioners,” Dagaceri stated in a statement.

He added, however, that Executive Secretaries, Managing Directors, and General Managers are not covered by the directive.

“The directive also excludes career-track Managing Directors, General Managers, and Executive Secretaries,” he explained.

Dagaceri also instructed all affected officials to turn over any government property in their possession to the highest-ranking officers within their respective organisations.
