The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that results for candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on Thursday, April 16, 2026, will be released before midnight on Friday, April 17, 2026.

 

Ejes Gist News reports that the announcement was made by the Board’s spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, in a brief statement issued on Friday.

“This is to inform all candidates who sat for the 2026 UTME on Thursday, April 16, 2026, that their results will be released today before midnight,” the statement read.

Dr. Benjamin added that an official announcement would follow once the release process is completed, urging candidates to monitor JAMB’s verified communication channels.

How to Check Your UTME Result

Once released, candidates can access their results through official channels:

Method 1: Via JAMB Portal

  1. Visit https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng
  2. Log in using your registered email and password
  3. Click on “Check UTME Results”
  4. View your result

Method 2: Via SMS

  1. Send RESULT to 55019 or 66019 using your registered number
  2. Await response with your scores
  3. Service charge: ₦50

Candidates are advised to avoid third-party platforms and use only official channels.

Record-Breaking UTME Registration

A total of 2,243,816 candidates registered for the 2026 UTME, representing a 10.5 per cent increase from 2025.

The examination commenced on April 16, 2026, and is scheduled to end on April 25, 2026, across approximately 1,000 accredited CBT centres nationwide.
