Fubara Speaks Out on Failed Bomb Attempt: ‘No Governor Can Take 10% of the treatment given to me

Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State has accused supporters of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike of attempting to bomb the Hotel Presidential in Port Harcourt, the state capital.

 

Fubara said that the failed attack was intended to legitimise the state’s declaration of an emergency. He made the assertion while meeting with a delegation from the Senate Committee on Privatisation and Commercialisation, chaired by Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, in Port Harcourt.

Fubara stated: “In reality, let me tell you, I am aware of everything that is going on. No government can take 10% what have received, I am the only governor that a councilor, chairman have insulted. Protesters were aware of your presence in the state yesterday (Tuesday). So there was an attempt to cause a huge problem.

“In truth, there was a plan to ignite dynamite at the Hotel Presidential because you were present.
