Kwara Police Arrest Suspects in Murder of 21-Year-Old Student, Miss Mojisola.
The Kwara State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of several suspects connected to the tragic murder of Miss Awesu Mojisola, a 21-year-old student of Kwara State College of Health Technology.
Miss Mojisola’s lifeless body was discovered on a refuse dump near the Aleniboro area of Ilorin, Kwara State.
The distressing incident came to light after Miss Blessing, Mojisola’s roommate, reported her missing on August 9, 2024.
The discovery of the body was reported by Mr. Olorunoje, a local resident, who was informed by labourers of the gruesome find upon returning from the mosque on August 11, 2024.
The Kwara State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Toun Ejire-Adeyemi, disclosed in a statement on Tuesday that the investigation has led to the arrest of suspects, including one Miss Timileyin.

Timileyin allegedly introduced Mojisola to Mr. Adebayo Happiness, a student of Summit University, who reportedly lured the deceased to a night party under the false pretext of hiring her as his girlfriend for a fee of N15,000.
DSP Adeyemi explained that a team of detectives was dispatched to the crime scene following the initial report. Upon arrival, they conducted a thorough examination, finding traces of blood near the left ear of the deceased.
The body was transported to the General Hospital in Ilorin, where a medical examination confirmed her death. The victim was later identified as Miss Awesu Mojisola.
“The Kwara State Police Command wishes to inform the public that suspects linked to this case have been arrested, and the investigation is ongoing.
The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further discreet investigation,” DSP Adeyemi stated.
