Mrs. Elohor Aiboni has been appointed as the Managing Director of Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited, SNEPCO, the company’s deep-water business in Nigeria.
Mr. Bamidele Odugbesan, the Media Relations Manager of Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria, announced this in a statement issued on Sunday in Yenagoa.
“During her 19-year at Shell, she has worked in a variety of capacities, including production operations, project and asset management, and operations readiness and assurance.

Elohor Aiboni Biography
Elohor Aiboni is Shell Nigeria’s first female Managing Director/Chief Executive.
Elohor was previously the Bonga Asset Manager, overseeing end-to-end production delivery for the Bonga, Nigeria’s first deep-water Floating Production, Storage, and Offloading vessel, which has produced over 900 million barrels of oil since its inception in 2005.
Elohor is self-driven and has a clear understanding of business priorities.

Elohor Aiboni earned a master’s degree in environmental management from the University of Bath in Somerset, United Kingdom. Elohor comes to SNEPCO with over 13 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including Project to Asset Handover, Oil and Gas Facility Operations with HSE, cross-discipline, cross-functional units, and multi-operating unit exposure, as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
She was the company’s first Bonga Asset Operations Manager prior to her promotion. She also worked at Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited in a variety of leadership roles (SPDC). She most recently served as the company’s EA Operations Manager from June 2015 to January 2018. Elohor was responsible for delivering the Asset annual scorecard as EA Operations Manager, with a particular focus on HSSE. She was also in charge of initiatives aimed at improving the organization’s capability and competence. Elohor also worked as the Onshore Assets Operations Completion and Handover Manager, where she oversaw the handover of SPDC’s divested assets to new operators and provided post-Operator-ship support to the New JVs.
According to Odugbesan, Elohor is now one of nearly 300 women in senior leadership positions in the Shell Group, accounting for more than 31% of the company’s executive positions.
