Yobe North Senatorial candidate: Supreme Court declares Ahmad Lawan winner of the Yobe North Senatorial ticket
The supreme court of Nigeria has declared Senator Ahmad Lawan the Senate President the Winner of the Yobe North APC Senatorial ticket.

This comes amidst ravaging issues and controversy over the actual winner of the Yobe North APC Senatorial Bid.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Yobe North Senatorial district, Senate President Ahmad Lawan, has received the support of the Supreme Court.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) appeal against Bashir Machina’s candidacy was accepted by the top court, which rendered its decision on Monday, February 6.
Justice Centus Nweze read the decision, criticizing Machina’s tactics for bringing the case to the Federal High Court Damaturu division without presenting oral evidence to support the claims of fraud.

This ruling set aside the ruling of the Appeal and High Court which declared Machina the winner of the Yobe North Senatorial District.
