APP Withdraws Petition Challenging Tinubu’s Victory
The Action Peoples Party (APP) has requested to withdraw its petition challenging Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 General Elections.
The Party’s attorney, Obed Agu, also asked the court to dismiss and strike the lawsuit.

Tinubu’s attorney, Wole Olanipekun, stated that his client does not oppose the petition’s withdrawal and is not requesting any costs.
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari abandoned the Nigerian health care system for the British health care system in order to receive dental care.
This was disclosed on Tuesday by Senior Special Assistant to the President Femi Adesina in a brief statement.
According to him, Buhari is receiving medical care “at the request of his Dentist, who has begun treating him.”

“The Specialist must see the President in five days for a procedure that has already begun,” stated the statement.
Meanwhile, on June 6, 2016, Buhari was criticised for his ten-day medical trip to the United Kingdom for ear treatment.
In addition, the President flew to London on October 31, 2022, for a “routine medical checkup.”

Despite the country’s budgetary allocation for the White House, Buhari’s frequent medical leave has sparked controversy.
According to the Permanent Secretary of State House, Tijanni Umar, N10.6 billion was allocated in 2016 for the construction of the Presidential Wing of the State House Clinic in Aso Villa.
Buhari left Nigeria seven days ago to attend the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla on Saturday, May 6, 2023.
Buhari is scheduled to leave office on May 29, 2023.
