Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has declared support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, expressing confidence that the president will secure a second term in office.

Adeleke made the declaration on Wednesday during the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council at the State House Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The governor, who expressed optimism about Tinubu’s political prospects, said he could already sense victory ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“I can feel the victory coming in 2027. Nobody can stop this movement. Is anybody able to stop this movement? I’m ready to lead this movement. Yes, we’re going to sing, we’re going to dance all the way back to Aso Rock,” Adeleke said.

He also urged Nigerians to give Tinubu more time to implement his administration’s reforms, arguing that the government needed an opportunity to deliver on its promises.

According to the governor, his support for the president’s second-term ambition is driven by the need for action and progress rather than excessive political rhetoric.

“Because we want action, not too much talking, because we don’t have time. The work has begun. I’ve already started mine, from every corner. Let us rise. Let us rise and make sure our president comes back for the second time,” he said.

Adeleke further expressed the belief that Tinubu’s success in office would translate into broader benefits for Nigerians, urging supporters to remain committed to the president’s re-election campaign.

“If he succeeds, we all succeed. And I know by the special grace of God, we shall get there,” the governor added.

His remarks come as political parties and their supporters begin positioning themselves ahead of the 2027 general elections, with Tinubu expected to seek another four-year term.

The governor’s appearance at the inauguration of the APC Presidential Campaign Council and his declaration of support for Tinubu’s re-election have also drawn attention to the political alignments surrounding the forthcoming polls.
