Oborevwori Urges Unity and Resilience in 66th Independence Day Address
Delta State Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has called on Nigerians to maintain unity and patience, emphasizing that staying committed to ongoing national reforms is crucial for securing long-term economic growth and prosperity.
In an Independence Day address issued through his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, Oborevwori expressed optimism about the country’s trajectory, stating that “there is hope on the horizon and brighter days ahead.” He added that “there is light at the end of the tunnel” as the nation navigates current challenges.

The governor urged residents of Delta State to offer sustained backing to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda as well as the state government’s MORE Agenda, noting that consistency and stability in leadership are essential for delivering lasting development.
According to Oborevwori, the state administration is complementing federal initiatives by executing major infrastructure projects, funding renewable energy schemes, generating job opportunities, and implementing strategies to draw foreign direct investment into Delta State.
Reaffirming a pledge toward inclusive leadership, Oborevwori promised that his administration will persist in delivering programs designed to enhance living conditions and expand socio-economic prospects across the state. He also extended congratulations to all Nigerians on the 66th Independence Anniversary, appealing for continued hope and solidarity.
