The West African Examinations Council said Wednesday on its verified X account that the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination results for school candidates are now available online.

Candidates must generate a Personal Identification Number (PIN) through the council’s official website before they can access their results on the WAEC Direct platform, according to WAEC. The PIN generation is mandatory for all candidates wishing to view their results online. “The results have been uploaded and are now available for viewing after the completion of the PIN generation process,” the council stated.

Release After Delay
The release comes after an earlier delay that pushed the publication of the results beyond the timetable initially announced by the examination body. Thousands of candidates across Nigeria and other participating West African countries are expected to begin checking their performance through the designated online portal. WAEC urged candidates to follow the prescribed procedure to access their results without difficulty, beginning with the mandatory PIN generation before proceeding to the WAEC Direct platform.
