  • 2027: PDP Will Die If Atiku Emerges Presidential Candidate – Primate Ayodele

     Primate Ayodele

Primate Elijah Ayodele, the spiritual head of the INRI evangelical church, has warned the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, against giving former Vice President Atiku Abubakar its 2027 presidential ticket.

Primate Ayodele warned that PDP would die if Atiku emerged as its 2027 presidential candidate.

In a video shared on his X handle, Primate Ayodele said: “PDP, if you want to fail, give Atiku your presidency. You will see that you will fail. It is going to be a cheap victory for APC.

“Atiku is not the answer for the PDP in 2027. He is not the answer. If you try Atiku, then, politically, PDP is dead. That is the end of PDP.”

Atiku has made several attempts to become Nigeria’s president.

While he emerged as the Vice President in 1999, every effort to occupy the highest political seat in Nigeria has failed.

In 2023, Atiku came second after he was defeated by President Bola Tinubu in a keenly contested election.

  • Transfer: ‘Incredible Signing’ – Paul Merson Fears Arsenal May Regret Letting Chelsea Sign 24-Year-Old Star

Transfer: ‘Incredible Signing’ – Paul Merson Fears Arsenal May Regret Letting Chelsea Sign 24-Year-Old Star

Arsenal legend, Paul Merson, has feared the Gunners may have missed a trick by letting Chelsea sign 24-year-old forward Pedro Neto this summer.

Merson believes the Portuguese is an ‘incredible signing and a top draw’.

Neto was a long-term transfer target for Arsenal.

However, Chelsea quickly went ahead to sign him from Wolves last week as there was no great deal of competition from Mikel Arteta’s men.

“If Chelsea can keep him [Neto] fit, I think it is an incredible signing,” Merson told Sky Sports.

“If you can get Neto on the pitch, he’s top draw. I think Arsenal missed a trick with him.

“If he goes to Arsenal he takes the workload of Saka and Martinelli.

“Chelsea were very shrewd – they did it very quickly and very quietly. [it is a] good signing.”

Neto will now hope to play for Enzo Maresca’s side when they tackle Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday.

  • My Life Is A Proof That God Is Alive And He’s Merciful – OAP Shares Testimony Of How He Cheated Death (Photos)

     Chidi Sunday

Chidi Sunday, an On-Air-Personality, has told the story of how he cheated death after he fell terribly ill sometime this year.

In a post shared on his Facebook page, Chidi stated that he was on oxygen for many months and even that even the doctors that were attending to him at some point lost hope that he would ever recover.

He said while he was in the hospital, he witnessed so many deaths but that his faith in God remained unshaken.

He stated that one faithful day, his doctor advised that his oxygen mask be removed and that he has remained alive since then.

    Read his story below…

‘’For those of you who May not know…. My life is a proof that God is Alive and He’s merciful.

On the 12th of April this man here was wheeled into the hospital. I was diagnosed of a lung infection and doctors said I had to be placed on oxygen to live.

3 weeks down the treatment my health was deteriorating. Life was leaving me. I saw death came face to face.

I remember one of the days… I over heard one of the doctors discussing with my dad that they have given up on my case and they are just managing my case hoping for a miracle. It dawned on me that I had to fight for my life.

For weeks I could neither talk or walk… it was a hopeless case. I was bedridden. I didn’t sleep for about a month cos I will have to stay awake and monitor the oxygen so it doesn’t finish. My case was getting worse by the day. The money we had was already exhausting and we needed to buy oxygen.

I woke up one morning and then the Holy Spirit said : take a picture of you and post on Facebook. Naturally I wouldn’t have. I obeyed. He said reach out to Bmp Anthonent and Chukwudi Somack Mmesoma. Now this was the first miracle!

People started responding…. I literally saw how people gave and gave and gave. We moved from 6 oxygen per day to about 10. Each of this oxygen cost for 18,000. In a day we were buying drugs over 40-50k

It got to a point it was looking as if there was no improvement after all the money spent.

To shaken my faith people were dieing like rats in my ward. I lost count of death that took place at the hospital. 80% died on oxygen.  Regardless, I kept declaring I won’t die! Not now. Thank God for Dominion City Lagos who stood with me in prayers and arms. Infact my account was displayed on the screen . Church kept giving, members kept giving. There was literally nobody who wasn’t aware of my case.

When all hope was lost!!!! Against all odds

That faithful morning the doctor walked in and said Chidi  you’re going home. I will discharge you today.

The hospital erupted!! You need to see the shout. Nobody believed . He said pull of the oxygen.  I did!! Stayed for an 1hr nothing happened. Poir to this time, any second without oxygen is death.

But mehn!!!!!!!Chidi has been breathing for the past one month.

Guess what? My recovery process is supposed to take extra months staying at home.  But we’re all seeing what God is doing. The speed at which i I’m recuperating is humbly!

This is a tastement that God is FAITHFUL”

Chidi who recently turned 29, shared new photos showing how much he has recovered.

‘’Dis one no be photoshop oooo.

This are life pictures… of what God can do.

One of the promises I told God at my death state was if I get to ever live again I will sound His faithfulness to ends of the earth.

Incase you’re getting tired seeing my pictures.

Hmmmm. Now na good morning. I never even start

Na only me know wetin my eye see”

…Justice Mabel Segun-Bello says, corruption and nepotism are rampant in the judiciary

Outgoing Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Kayode Ariwoola, is facing severe allegations of nepotism and corruption.

Critics are accusing him of prioritizing family interests over the integrity of the judiciary.

Breaking: Tinubu Approves 300% Salary Increase for Judicial Officers

Under Ariwoola’s leadership, the National Judicial Council (NJC) has been embroiled in controversies surrounding the appointment of judicial officers.

Key allegations include the appointment of his son, Olukayode Ariwoola Jr., as a Federal High Court judge, despite limited legal experience. His daughter-in-law, Ariwoola Oluwakemi Victoria, was also appointed as a judge of the FCT High Court.

Adding to the controversy, Ariwoola’s brother, Adebayo Lateef Ariwoola, was appointed as the head of the NJC’s audit department, raising concerns about conflict of interest.

Furthermore, the CJN facilitated the appointment of his nephew, Lateef Ganiyu, as a justice of the Nigeria Court of Appeal.

These appointments have sparked outrage and raised questions about the merit-based nature of judicial appointments.

Justice Mabel Segun-Bello of the FCT High Court has publicly stated that corruption and nepotism are rampant in the judiciary, with political backing often required to secure a judicial position.

As Ariwoola prepares to step down, these allegations have cast a long shadow over his legacy and raised serious concerns about the state of the Nigerian judiciary.

Stanley Omah Didia, the famous Afrobeats star, who is popularly known as Omah Lay, has opened up about the positive impact of his prison ordeal in Uganda on his life and career.

Recall that Omah Lay and Tems were arrested and charged to court and subsequently detained in prison in Uganda for making an appearance at a concert held in the country at Speke Resort, Kampala, on December 12, 2020, despite COVID-19 social distancing regulations.

Speaking in a recent interview with Amazon Music, Omah Lay stated that his jail experience shifted his perspective on freedom.

He said after the experience, his love for freedom increased, and he expressed it in every one of his songs.

“”After being in that cell for three days, I just love my freedom so much now that I fight for it with every record… I don’t want to give Uganda so much credit for locking me up, but that shifted my perspective about freedom,” the ‘Soso’ crooner said.

BREAKING: Former Ogun Governor Gbenga Daniel Speaks Out on Seized Presidential Jets, Proposes Solution

Former Governor of Ogun State, Gbenga Daniel, has finally broken his silence over the controversy on Nigeria’s presidential jets seized recently.

Ejes Gist News gathered that the jets were grounded in Europe a few days ago, following a court injunction by a Chinese firm, Zhongfu International Investment FXE, over a contract dispute with the Ogun State Government.

Presidential Jets Seizure: Amosun Also Cancelled My Ogun Contract, Just Like He Did to a Chinese Firm – Pat Utomi

Daniel was the serving governor from 2003 to 2011 when the contract was signed in 2007.

Buttressing the statement, he cited the need to enhance diplomatic measures involving Nigeria’s collective interests and assets.

A statement from the office of Daniel explained that he is not in any way connected to the current legal deliberations, but will definitely help the federal government in arriving at a political solution.

Presidential Jets Seizure: I Mistakenly Signed Away Ogun’s Multibillion-Naira Trade Zone to Chinese Investors, Ibikunle Amosun Confesses

The Senate President charged the press to cooperate with the government in ensuring a constructive resolution, rather than politicking about the nation’s assets and integrity.

“Since the report of the Arbitration and legal matters between a Chinese Firm and the Federal Government of Nigeria/ Ogun State Government on the termination of Management contract at the Ogun/ Guangdong Free Trade Zone, the Media Office of His Excellency, The Senator Otunba Engr Gbenga Daniel, FNSE, FAEng has been inundated with calls requesting for Otunba Daniel’s reaction on the matter.”.

“We need to establish clearly that Otunba Gbenga Daniel, or his administration, is not in discussion on the matter before the courts and arbitration; neither were the terms or proprietary of the Agreement for the establishment of FTZ, but rather, the termination of a Management Contract. The judgements in all the courts are very clear on this.”.

This is a very sensitive matter involving our collective national assets and commonwealth, which every patriotic Nigerian should be concerned about. And as an elder statesman who had been privileged to serve as governor of Ogun State, during which time he was able to carry out a number of developmental projects, like the establishment of the Ogun/Guangdong Free Trade Zone and others, and through which he impacted on the lives of many citizens, and presently a serving Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, it is in this patriotic path that he chooses to thread.

“Rather than the media comments, the most reasonable course of action Senator Otunba Gbenga Daniel would rather engage in at this critical time is to help Nigeria through President and Commander-in-Chief, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, toward finding a diplomatic solution on the issue at hand with available records that could assist the Federal Government in pursuing its course before the arbitration and before the courts.”. He cannot do this on the pages of newspapers and in other media, which may also compromise the strength of arguments by Nigeria in the courts.

“We need to also appreciate that this matter is before various courts in several countries and it is subjudice for anyone to speak on them.”.

“But let us emphasize again that the Ogun/Guangdong Free Trade Zone project still exists, several Nigerians working there as we write this, just as there are several companies still doing their legitimate businesses. It is from this development perspective that the efforts of Otunba Gbenga Daniel should be well appreciated.”.

“At the time of his handover in 2011, about 56 companies were at different stages of operations, construction, and showing interest in the Free Trade Zone, through which various life-impacting developments, such as the construction of roads, schools for the local community, a scholarship, and sponsorship of many Nigerians for academic pursuits, etc. have taken place at Igbesa area, which was otherwise a rural community before the establishment of the Free Trade Zone.”.

“So many misleading reports and misrepresentation of facts on Timelines of activities relating to the establishment and Operations of the Free Trade Zone are in circulation, especially on the social media, and we beg that the media should partner with the Nigerian government in finding a very productive solution to this matter in Nigeria’s interest. It is not time to play politics with the assets and integrity of our dear country.”.

Presidential Jets Seizure: Amosun Also Cancelled My Ogun Contract, Just Like He Did to a Chinese Firm – Pat Utomi

Ogun Indigene ‘Committed Suicide’ Over Lease Contract Termination By Then Ogun Gov Amosun, Just Like Chinese Company, Zhongshan–Pat Utomi

Renowned political economist, Pat Utomi, on Sunday, revealed how he suffered to pay back millions of naira in loans after former governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun, allegedly cancelled a contract he had with the state government.

Utomi disclosed this while reacting to Amosun’s admission that a contract he cancelled while he was Ogun governor has now led Nigeria to an embarrassing situation in which the country’s presidential jets are being seized in Europe.

Presidential Jets Seizure: I Mistakenly Signed Away Ogun’s Multibillion-Naira Trade Zone to Chinese Investors, Ibikunle Amosun Confesses

Amosun in a statement published by Naija News said he cancelled the contract with the Chinese firm in 2016 after the Ogun government discovered that the firm’s claims were false.

The Chinese firm Zhongfu International Investment FXE recently secured a French court order to seize three Nigerian presidential jets over its business dispute with the Ogun government.

Pat Utomi in his reaction in a post on X wrote, “The Chinese were not the only victims. One prominent Ogun indigene allegedly committed suicide with similar Amosun action. I too was a victim.

“I had leased OPIC land in Lagos in a BOT agreement under Gov Daniel. Amosun stopped all such on being sworn in.”

Utomi said he met with Amosun over the issue and the governor promised to resolve it but it was never resolved. He said he also sought the intervention of Bola Tinubu, who was not Nigeria’s president then, but to no avail.

“I lost my weary SA partners who owned a successful regional chain across Southern Africa and Asia. I licked my wounds and Slaved to pay off the loans. The Chinese had better leverage,” he wrote.

The full statement reads, “So it was Gov Amosun’s violation of contract terms signed by his predecessor that brought the shame of seizure of jets from the Presidential fleet. I hope he is happy at his achievement’.

“The whole matter is Khama at work. The Chinese were not the only victims. One prominent Ogun indigene allegedly committed suicide with similar Amosun action. I too was a victim.

“I had leased OPIC land in Lagos in a BOT agreement under Gov Daniel. Amosun stopped all such on being sworn in. I called him. He said he did not see my name on the list. I went to Abeokuta and he called in Yewandw Amusan who said mine was a straight forward deal they did not include it.

“He asked that all be included but mine be quickly sorted. That began a rigmarole that went on for years. I made another trip to Abeokuta. He drove me back to Lagos at the wheels with my driver trailing along with the escorts and sirens.

“He had earlier asked that I make a request for refund of what I paid even though my South African partners and I had invested 200m in addition to the lease amount at the time.

“With just two of us in the car he advised I make a claim for 100m and write for additional payments the day after I cash the cheque. It was surreal but if I got nothing more it would be better than being in court until we both retire.

“I took the case to APC leader BAT and Baba Akande. No result. Took it to Dapo Abiodun when he took over. Nothing came of it. If this happened to Frieda I wondered what enemies were going through.

“I lost my weary SA partners who owned a successful regional chain across Southern Africa and Asia. I licked my wounds and Slaved to pay off the loans. The Chinese had better leverage.

“They took it and all are shamed. My new book Power Policy Politics and Performance documents a similar case study in Enugu involving SA investors as the gubernatorial batons changed hands. When shall we learn. Values shape human progress.”

Understanding the Dollar to Naira Black Market for Forex

    What is the Black Market?

The black market refers to unofficial exchange channels where currencies are traded without government regulation. This market often provides more competitive rates due to the high demand and limited supply of foreign currencies.

Why Do People Use the Black Market?

People turn to the black market due to:

    • Favorable Rates: Often higher than official rates.
    • Accessibility: Easier to obtain foreign currency without stringent regulatory requirements.

    Factors Influencing Black Market Rates.

    Economic Policies

Government decisions on interest rates, inflation control, and forex regulations by the CBN directly affect the naira’s value. Policy adjustments aimed at stabilizing the naira impact the exchange rates.

    Supply and Demand

The availability of foreign currency versus its demand significantly influences exchange rates. A shortage of foreign currency or high demand leads to naira depreciation.

    Political Stability

Geopolitical events and internal political stability affect investor confidence. Political unrest or uncertainty can cause the naira to depreciate, while stability strengthens it.

    Global Economic Conditions

Global market conditions, such as oil prices, international economic trends, and global inflation rates, influence the naira’s value. A significant drop in oil prices, for instance, negatively impacts Nigeria’s economy.

Comparing Dollar to Naira Official and  Black Market Rates

    Why the Disparity?

Several factors contribute to the disparity:

    • Supply and Demand: Limited availability in the official market drives people to the black market.
    • Regulatory Restrictions: CBN imposes limits on forex availability, leading to higher black market rates.
    • Economic Instability: Fluctuations in oil prices and inflation prompt people to seek more favorable black market rates.

    Impact on the Economy

    High black market rates can:

    • Inflation: Increase costs for imported goods.
    • Investment: Deter foreign investment due to economic instability.
    • Trade: Benefit exporters while imposing higher costs on importers.

Some Retirees Receive N500 Monthly Pension – Union

The Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP), on Sunday, said some retirees are still receiving N500 as a monthly pension in the country.

Alhassan Musa, the Secretary of the union in Kaduna State, in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), described the condition of the returnees as “pathetic”.

He said that most of the affected retirees were in precarious conditions, adding that, “they sacrificed their lives and services for the nation.

“The worst affected are pensioners in most of the Southern and oil producing states in spite of getting fat allocations from the federation account.

“The condition of pensioners in some Northern states and the FCT are far better, as some of them received between N3,500 and N18,000 monthly pension”.

Musa, who is also the NUP scribe in charge of the 19 Northern states and the North-West, however, said that only retirees in Kaduna State were earning N30,000 minimum pension monthly.

The secretary recalled that the Kaduna state government in 2020 implemented N30,000 minimum pension during the administration of Gov. Nasir El-Rufa’i.

He, therefore, advocated for a 50 per cent upward review of the minimum pension, to improve the social and economic wellbeing of the retirees.

This, he said, is necessary considering the socio-economic realities in the country.

“The union proposed a 50 per cent increment even under the defunct N30,000 national minimum wage.

“We are anticipating that the 50 per cent increment would be approved in line with the new N70,000 national minimum wage.

*Even under the Federal Government, some pensioners are receiving N10,000 minimum pension.

“We are hoping that the federal government will balance it up so that no pensioner will receive less than N70,000 as his/her monthly pension.

“Let pensioners also enjoy the same benefits the workers are enjoying.

“If a worker is receiving N70,000 minimum salary, so, let the pensioner enjoy the same,” he said, adding that the monthly minimum pension should be at par with the new national minimum wage.

Musa also urged Gov. Uba Sani to emulate El-Rufa’i by being the first governor to implement the N70,000 minimum pension.

He added that workers who retired under the contributory pension system were facing formidable challenges.

Presidency Opens Up on Claims That a Member of Tinubu’s Economic Council Is Behind Petrol Imports from Malta

Presidency Denies Allegations Against Economic Council Member Aliu, Clarifies Role in Petrol Imports.

The presidency has refuted claims that Abdulkabir Adisa Aliu, a member of President Bola Tinubu’s Economic Coordination Council, is one of Malta’s largest importers of petrol.

The allegations stemmed from a report linking Aliu to the importation of petrol from Malta, which was discharged at the Matrix jetty in Koko, Delta State, in July 2024.

The controversy began after Aliko Dangote, Chairman of Dangote Petroleum Refinery, accused Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd. (NNPCL) officials, oil traders, and terminals of establishing a blending plant in Malta. However, NNPCL’s Group Chief Executive Officer, Mele Kyari, denied any involvement in the Malta plant.

In response to the accusations, Aliu denied any misconduct in his business dealings and promised a full response. An insider had shared documents with The Cable, suggesting over 200,000 tonnes of petrol from Malta had been imported.

Reacting to the situation, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Temitope Ajayi, defended Aliu’s integrity, emphasizing his long-standing career in the petrol business, which spans over 20 years.

Ajayi dismissed the accusations as baseless, stating that Aliu’s role in the downstream sector has no connection to his membership in the Economic Council.

Ajayi’s statement reads, “Matrix is an active player in the downstream sector, with operations predating the current administration. The company runs over 150 retail stations across the country and possesses one of Nigeria’s largest independent product storage facilities. Accusations of importing bad fuel are without merit and seem to be an attempt to create unnecessary controversy.”

Ajayi also highlighted the prominence of the members of President Tinubu’s Economic Council, noting that they were selected from key leaders in critical sectors of the economy, including Aliko Dangote, Segun Agbaje, and Tony Elumelu.

The presidency’s clarification aims to dispel any notion that Aliu’s business practices are linked to his role in President Tinubu’s administration.

“When we arrive in the last month and we are close to winning another Premier League, then that will be the motivation.

“But now? For me the motivation to win another Premier League is not there… for me it will be in the last month. Now it’s: ‘Can we beat Chelsea?’”
