APC Lists condition Before Tinubu can participate in a Debate with Peter Obi

We’ll send Tinubu’s spokesperson to debate with you, APC tells Peter Obi

The All Progressives Congress (APC) stated on Tuesday that Bola Tinubu, a candidate for the ruling party, and Peter Obi, a candidate for the Labour Party, cannot engage in a debate.

After Obi must have presented his platform and demonstrated his political prowess as a former governor of Anambra state, the APC stated that it would prefer to send one of Tinubu’s media aides to engage in a debate with him.

Festus Keyamo, a spokesman for the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, announced this while accusing Obi of withholding his manifesto from Nigerians before the general elections of 2023.

The LP presidential flagbearer must then meet certain requirements before Keyamo will allow him to debate the former governor of Lagos state.

One of the requirements listed by the APC was that Obi identify his political mentor from the time he was governor until the present.

He declared that the APC would send one of its spokespersons to engage in an open discussion with Obi if the prerequisites were met.

“They have no manifesto, so what are we debating?” Keyamo questioned. Which records are we comparing? He declared that Nigerians should rely on his own judgement rather than any document.

“So, who will Asiwaju be debating with next?” Are they making fun of this campaign?

Before Obi and Asiwaju can debate side by side, they should each release a manifesto for public review.

Then, Obi should compare his tangible achievements as the governor of Anambra State to Asiwaju’s tangible achievements as the governor of Lagos State.

Then, he should list the people he has mentored in politics while serving as governor and who are still working with him today. Lastly, he should list any political parties he has founded or worked with to found that he is still a member of today.

“Then he should list his democratic credentials, that is, what he did to help usher in democracy after the military took over, and what he has since done, better than Asiwaju, to maintain our democracy,” said the speaker.

After all of this, we will send one of our spokespersons to engage him in discussion.

    Katsina Riot- What actually transpired

Although security personnel were said to have been sent to the area, it was also feared that the district head palace had been set on fire.

According to a source, despite a “peace deal” that existed between the community and the bandits, the victims were attacked and killed at their home in the early hours of Tuesday.

The local government chairman faked a peace agreement, allowing the bandits to enter the town, purchase whatever they wanted, and leave unharmed in exchange for their promise not to attack us.

That peace agreement, he continued, “is a scam; it did not stop them from kidnapping for ransom and even killing victims.”

More specifics emerge about Katsina Riot

A second resident, who pleaded anonymity, identified the victims as Usman Lawal Karzaje and their mother, the younger brother of the DPO of a police station in the Dutsi local government.

Before now, in spite of the peace agreement, they abducted Alhaji Rabe Mainadi. After demanding a ransom, they broke his arm, and he has not yet fully recovered.

“Secondly, they abducted Alhaji Mani’s son, demanded N10 million in ransom, and then killed the victim. These are only a few illustrations of the predicament we are in,” the source said.

At the time this report was filed, SP Gambo Isah, the Katsina police spokesperson, could not be reached for comment.

Speaking on Tuesday, Dr. Yunusa Tanko, the chief spokesperson for the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council (LP-PCC), referred to Tinubu as a “drowning man” and said that he did not possess the same level of intelligence as Obi.

The APC presidential candidate stated that mentioning Obi’s name would be dishonorable. It is a statement made by a man who is drowning.

“This is a person who really can not name his mother. He struggles to articulate his academic achievements.

Tinubu and Peter Obi are not at all operating in the same space. In terms of health, physical makeup, and intellectual temperament, Obi is far superior to him.

We want to see if Tinubu will not be embarrassed by Peter Obi in an open debate.

Buhari’s in-law Dumps APC, Reveals Next Step

Buhari’s in-law quits APC, cites impunity, injustice

Sani Sha’aban, a former candidate for governor of Kaduna State in the All Progressives Congress and an in-law of the president Muhammadu Buhari left the party on Monday.

Sha’aban, Buhari’s in-law, whose 17 children paid N50 million for his Expression of Interest and Nomination forms to run for governor in 2023, cited injustice and impunity as his reasons for leaving the state’s ruling party.

Additionally, he said that the party’s disregard for the law led him to decide to leave it.

The governorship candidate petitioned the Federal High Court in Kaduna for exclusion from the election shortly after the APC’s state primary in May 2022, where Uba Sani, the incumbent senator from Kaduna Central, was declared the winner.

But in early November, the court presided over by Justice Mohammed Garba Umar dismissed the case, saying it lacked jurisdiction in the matter.

Sha’aban, on the other hand, continued on to the Court of Appeal, where he vowed to carry the matter all the way through despite having left the party.

The candidate for governor, Mr. Joshua Danladi Ephraim, asserted at a press conference through the director of the Sani Mahmoud Sha’aban Campaign Organization that he had no business working with a group that disregarded the law.

In a letter of resignation dated November 28, 2022, sent to Hanwa, the APC Ward Chairman,

The state official in Sabon Gari Local Government Area continued by saying that recent events within the party had forced him to reevaluate his affiliation with it.

He added that despite his best efforts, advice, and intentions, the party had alienated the majority of the population.

He responded that he would have to consult “those who have to love us of where next to move to” when asked about his next political move.

Part of Buhari’s in-law, Sha’aban’s letter read, “Recent activities and events within the APC, in particular in Kaduna State, have forced me to reconsider my membership in the APC.

Disappointingly, the APC in Kaduna State is now seen as synonymous with hardship, division, and complete disregard for human lives, communal values, and family values.

This has happened despite all of our best efforts, warnings, and intentions. Instead of fostering peace, social cohesion, and integration in Kaduna State as we had envisioned and worked for, the APC is now seen as synonymous with hardship, division, and total disregard for human lives, communal values, and family values.

“Some few APC members in Kaduna State have hijacked the party structure and turned it into their personal estate to serve their personal greed and avarice, benefiting only their families, friends, and cronies, instead of working to bring the benefits of democracy closer to the masses.

Even the many Party members who backed them as well as the Kaduna State populace as a whole are of no consideration to them in the slightest.

“As someone who places a high value on the commonwealth of the land and who has a firm faith in God, I have discovered that I cannot, in good conscience, stand by and let this reign of impunity continue in silence.

I have had occasion to voice my displeasure with the APC’s policies and deeds in Kaduna State to you on a number of occasions.

As you are aware, because of my support for the Rule of Law, Social Justice, and Equity, we have come to be regarded with contempt by those who stand to gain personally from the APC’s distorted realities.

You have repeatedly disregarded my numerous warnings, protests, actions, and best efforts to save the Party and bring it back into focus in order to accomplish the goals that were established when the Party was formed.

However, there are restrictions on what I can accomplish as a Party member.

“I feel that, in the eyes of God, I have done everything I could to halt the inevitable, but in vain.

In light of the current state of affairs, where the interests of the majority of ordinary people are not given much consideration, I have come to the firm conviction and resolution that I cannot, in good conscience, continue to be a member of the APC.

“I can not stay in a party that does not care about people’s lives, social cohesion, peace, or our long-valued and cherished communal and traditional values. When the APC shows no respect for the Rule of Law and the most basic laws of the land, I am unable to stay in the party.

I hereby officially and formally resign from all levels of membership in the All Progressives Congress, effective immediately.

I am saying this today but it will be written in three years to come. This is the time when unskilled labor is welcome. It is a time when you can not see a bricklayer. It is a time when factories will not find workers.

Osun Assembly Rejects Governor Adeleke’s key Decision

On Monday, the Osun State House of Assembly criticized the newly inaugurated governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, for renaming the state “Osun State” rather than “State of Osun.”

The Assembly argued that the state anthem, crest, and flag were enacted by a law signed on December 18, 2012, and that no one could change them.

Adeleke changed the name of the state from “State of Osun” to “Osun State” during his inauguration on Sunday, November 27, 2022, and also changed its nickname from “The State of the Virtues” to “The State of the Living Spring.”

Adeleke also reversed all appointments made by the previous governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, with effect from July 7, 2022.

He also ordered the freezing of all government bank accounts and stated that all actions taken by the Oyetola administration since July 17 will be reviewed.

    In response to the governor’s decision, the House issued a press statement through the Chairman of the House Committee on Media and Publicity, Moshood Kunle Akande, which partly read, “The State of Osun House of Assembly having reviewed the Governor’s inaugural speech and the activities of the inauguration hereby resolves as follows;

“Because the State Anthem, Crest, and Flag are an enactment of the law, their use is a matter of law rather than choice.”

“The enactment “State of Osun Anthem, Crest, and Flag Law, 2012,” assented to on December 18, 2012, contained in Schedules 1, II, III, IV, and V, which carefully details every component of this law, is clear.”

“Schedule I contains the State Anthem, Schedule II contains the State Crest, and Schedule III contains the symbolic meaning of the elements in the Flag.”

“Finally, while we are aware of an ongoing court case.”

The lawmakers also stated that the state will continue to be referred to as “Osun” and “Ipinle Omulabi.”
