  • Wike blows Hot, Dares Ayu to terminate the Political Ambition of his Loyalists and He’d Crumble PDP

Wike to Ayu: I dare you to stop political ambition of any of my loyalists

Nyesom Wike of Rivers State recently issued a challenge to Iyorchia Ayu, the PDP’s national chairman, to prevent any party member from running for office.

In response to a recent statement made by Ayu in Gboko, Benue State, in which he claimed he could have prevented the political aspirations of those asking for his resignation, Wike engaged in the altercation.

In response to the accusations made against her, Ayu stated: “I have remained silent because I do not want the party I support in my state to suffer any divisions.

It is required that I must sign before you go anyplace, so I have the authority to declare, “You and you will not go anywhere.”

“However, whether I like it or not, I signed for all candidates produced by the PDP to pursue their ambitions.”

In response, Wike stated yesterday that he had challenged Ayu to prevent any party member from running in the 2023 elections.

“I dare the PDP national chairman to prevent any candidate from running in the election,” stated Wike.

I challenge Ayu to prevent any PDP candidate from running for office. He lacks the authority.

“I heard him when he claimed he could have prevented Ortom from seeking office. You can see the ungratefulness of people.

The same Governor Ortom who begged us to accept the risk of letting Ayu become national chairman we did so and he’s now being ungrateful.

“The PDP governors agreed that a national chairman should not come from the same family as a governor. Despite our agreement, Ortom showed up.

He further stated that I want to advance my people in national politics as a man we respect. On the honour of you, we let him (Ayu) be, we said.

“This is a man who has never run for office as national chairman anywhere or printed a billboard.

He never printed any posters, not even with the money they offered him to do so. And he (Ayu) is the one claiming that he had the option to refuse the man who brought him and served as his guarantor. This corruption is what we are referring about.

He is now in office, has access to wealth and influence, and is now willing to claim that Ortom might have been stopped.

And he added that he can currently stop any competitor. I challenge him. I challenge Ayu, if he has what it takes, to stop any contestant.

“Why is not he (Ayu) quitting? He is expecting that Nigerians will give money to the party in order for him to once more oversee that money.

He has already spent more than N11 billion in party primaries. He claims that the public should access the account to account for it.

Show us the money, we demand. Print the PDP account so that everyone may see how the money was used.

“This is the party that we all worked hard to replace the unsuccessful All Progressives Congress with. The national chairman would then speak about discouraging competitors.

Speaking on the party’s leadership issues, Wike warned that if the culture of impunity and arrogance is not promptly changed, it will pose a serious threat to the party’s chances of winning in 2023.

“The country is seeing us as not being serious,” added Wike, referring to the culture of impunity and arrogance that has begun to infiltrate the party.

Do we really intend to win elections with this level of impunity and arrogance? According to our survey, Nigerians want change, but only if the individuals they anticipate bringing that change are ready for it.

You Can’t Do Anything Ayu, I Dare You To Stop Any Candidate From Contesting An Election — Wike Vows To Scatter PDP If…

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has challenged PDP National Chairman, Dr Iyorchia Ayu to stop any PDP candidate from contesting the 2023 elections.

Governor Nyesom Wike who spoke to journalists in Port Harcourt on Sunday reacted to statements credited to PDP National Chairman that Ayu has the right to stop those fighting him from contesting the 2023 election.

Governor Nyesom Wike said that the PDP National Chairman has no power to stop any candidate from contesting an election.

He said, “The statement credited to the PDP National Chairman that he has the right to stop any candidate from contesting election is very unfortunate. Nobody said that Ayu should be sacked. By our constitution, there is zoning for political parties. There is no way a party candidate and the National Chairman of a party can come from the same place. Nobody is interested in sacking Dr Iyorchia Ayu what we are saying is that the National Chairman of PDP should concede to the agreement reached that he should resign the moment the presidential candidate emerged.

” Nobody said he is sacking anybody what we are saying is that he should keep to the agreement. If you said that you are not keeping to the promise, no problem. I heard when he said that he would have stopped Ortom from contesting, a man that brought you and pleaded that you should be made Chairman. Ortom stood as a guarantee for Ayu to become the National Chairman of the PDP. I dare Ayu to stop anybody from contesting the election.

He continued, “I dare him to come to Rivers State and stop any candidate from contesting the election. Do we really want to win election? The party is really in a dilemma. The presidential candidate of the party comes from the north and if you said that you will not keep to the agreement so be it. I will not be a party to anybody that wants to use me to be relevant.

“I have been in PDP and have never left the party. I dare him, Ayu, again to stop any candidate from contesting an election. He knows that he cannot do that he has no such power. Let him come to Rivers State and stop anybody. I dare him to do that,” he said.

“There was no time Baba called him that he didn’t respond. There was no event he is invited to, whether by Afenifere or any group in Yoruba land where Engineer Makinde doesn’t play a part.

“Now, we are different by a political party but we are one by the tribe. For this reason, what he asked me to assure you is that in Yoruba land, whatever you have agreed to do, he is in support,” said
Lawal while delivering Governor Makinde’s message at the gathering of political and Yoruba stakeholders.

2023: Governors Wike, Makinde, Others Finally Revealed Their ‘Preferred’ Presidential Candidate

Ayu said this in Tiv dialect while addressing the crowd that welcomed him home in Gboko on Friday.

He also said he had the power to stop any candidate under the party, particularly in the state following the attacks on his person.

“I have been silent over all the things you are hearing against me because I don’t want any crack in the party I belong to in my state. I have the power to say, ‘you and you will not go anywhere,’ because I will insist that I must sign before you go anywhere.

“But I have signed for all candidates produced by the PDP to go ahead with their dreams; whether I like it or not, I signed. So, I was doing that believing that I cannot shoot myself in the leg. I want Benue to come first by winning all elections so that Nigerians will say that the national chairman has delivered his state to PDP with Alhaji Atiku Abubakar winning 90 per cent of the votes and Titus Uba as governor in 2023.

2023 Elections: Details Of Meeting Between Umahi, Ayade, Wike Revealed

The governor and the national chairman, who hail from the same senatorial district have been in opposing camps within the party since its presidential primary produced Alhaji Abubakar Atiku as the party flag bearer against the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, who was the choice of some governors, including Ortom.

The governor and his counterparts in Oyo, Abia and Enugu have repeatedly called for the resignation of Ayu as the party’s chairman to restore peace to the main opposition party.

Ayu’s kinsmen in the Jemgbah axis had also accused the governor of teaming up with others to pull down their son from his exalted office.

You can’t evict your landlord, CUPP tells Ayu

But the national chairman told the crowd of supporters that he would not resign until the day “God permits”.

“Nothing should worry you, my people. Since I started politics more than 30 years ago, you have never rejected me; you are always supporting me. They say a prophet has no respect in his home, but my case is different. I am overwhelmed by this great show of love.

The PDP is one and not divided. I am trying my best not to disappoint Benue people and Nigerians in general, so if you hear that they want to chase Ayu out as national chairman, don’t be worried; nobody is going to sack me as national chairman of our party. I will leave the seat on a day that God permits.

“It is God that enthrones leadership, He uses people to enthrone a person over others and protects that person. I want to assure you that all these days, God has been protecting me even when I went on sick leave abroad, God is still protecting me.

“The Tiv people have suffered so much in this country. We have yet to get our share of the national cake, so my charge to you is not to relent in prayers so that this time around, come 2023, God will give us a President who will work closely with the governor of our state to wipe out our tears,” he added.

Ayu also allayed fears about Atiku’s ethnicity and called on people of the state to vote massively for the party.

He added, “During Senator J S Tarka’s era, God gave us a Fulani man, Alhaji Shehu Shagari. Did he fight the Tiv nation? Did he kill our people? He appointed five ministers from Benue State and the Speaker of the House of Representatives: Benjamin Chaha, Paul Unongo (Minister of Steel), Isaac Shaahu (Minister of Communications), Mrs Elizabeth Ivase (Education Minister), Audu Ogbeh, etc. Was he not a Fulani man?

“Another Fulani man, Yar’ Adua, appointed a Tiv man, Michael Kaase Aondoakaa, his Minister of Justice. Today, the flagbearer of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar, who is not only a chieftaincy title holder of the Tiv people as the Zege Mule U Tiv but also my friend, told me his plans for the Tiv nation, that he will wipe away the tears of our people.

“So, nobody should try to bring any troubles to you. I am telling you today, PDP is one party. A party that has divisions does not win elections.

No matter the strength of any party, if it does not have unity, it will lose elections.”

  • Terror Alert: Saboteurs Within Buhari’s Government Working To Collapse Nigeria — Security Expert Reveals Top Secret

Terror Alert: Saboteurs Within Buhari’s Government Working To Collapse Nigeria — Security Expert Reveals Top Secret

A security expert, Ladi Thompson, says moles in the government are working to collapse Nigeria.

“It seems that some elements within the government, moles within are working together with this agenda to collapse this country from within,” he said on Channels Television’s Sunrise programme on Saturday.

According to Thompson, the Federal Government’s policies of absorbing captured terrorists into the Nigerian society, failure to prosecute known terror financiers, amongst others are signs of alleged complicity.

“There are moles in high places in Nigeria and what is happening to our people is that when terrorism is being used clinically, one of its objectives is to break the will of the nation,” he emphasised.

Thompson said the alerts of imminent terror attacks in Abuja released by the United Kingdom and the United States must not be ignored.

“Abuja is a matter of time if we don’t change strategies,” he said and advised that low-tech devices should be deployed in Abuja immediately.

The security expert, however, expressed confidence that Nigeria will surmount the current security challenges.

“We will beat this thing but for us to beat this thing, the whole nation must realise that the strategy that this government is putting together has not worked (and) it is not working,” he stated.

Focus on The Message, Not The Messenger’

On his part, a global security analyst, Ademola Abbas urged the Federal Government to forget the messenger and focus on the message.

“Let’s for once forget the messenger and focus on the message – the message is that there is a threat to our country…We live with threats every single day,” Abbas submitted.

The US and Britain had on Sunday warned of possible terror attacks in Abuja, especially at government buildings, places of worship, schools and other centres where large crowds gather. Both countries also commenced the evacuation of their citizens from the Nigerian political capital.

However, Nigerian Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed dismissed the terror alerts, saying the government won’t be stampeded and that Nigeria is safer than in May 2015 when President Muhammadu Buhari came into office.

    Spate of Attacks

Disturbingly, a number of daring terrorist attacks have been recorded in Abuja in 2022 and other parts of the country. On July 5, 2022, insurgents invaded the Kuje prison in Abuja and freed hundreds of inmates including hardened Boko Haram fighters.

The marauders also in the same month attacked the advance convoy of the President near Dutsinma in Katsina State. The emboldened terrorists would later in August ambush and kill some members of the Presidential Guards Brigade in Abuja.

Similarly, on March 28, 2022, the ferocious terrorists attacked a Kaduna-Abuja train, killed scores, kidnapped many passengers and held them hostages for over six months before their eventual release earlier in October.

On June 5, 2022, terrorists also invaded a Catholic church in Owo, the hometown of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, killed over 40 worshippers and injured scores of members. (Channels TV)
