This arrest coincides with ongoing investigations involving Bobrisky by the House of Representatives, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), and the Nigerian Correctional Service. The inquiries were triggered by bribery allegations following a leaked audio recording from social media influencer Martins Ortse, known as VeryDarkMan.
In the recording, Ortse claimed that Bobrisky paid N15 million to EFCC officials to halt money laundering charges against him. As of now, Bobrisky has not publicly responded to these allegations.
